    nice vid man, i did not know that you have to solder some wires to do the conversion. Unfortunately i can`t solder myself. i think i have to go to the local hobby shop mabye they can do it for me.

    Hey you changed the name of your channel.
    Really useful video for reference. IMO, it's a better deal to buy the brushless buggy from the getgo and a RWD. That way, you get one brushless, one brushed and one remote to control both.

      Do you know if the older receiver will work for the newer brushless buggy?

  • @WorkMostDays

    This was extremely helpful. Are there any comprehensive sources for the sorts of conversions that are possible for this particular model, and not just the motor? I came across so many accessories and am really wanting to switch up a few parts to aluminum and just understand what is possible. And for the motor for this conversion, I'm still so lost on the power of the brushless ones and which are best for this buggy. Thank you for this video!

    Thank you to CerealKilla for the suggestion to leave the switch leads in place! Don't desolder them from the ESC, just use the switch that comes with the new ESC. :)

    Hey there. Awesome video. Truly needed this. I've waited since COVID to get the brushless esc and finally just ordered one a few minutes ago. I have a question regarding the battery leads: what sort of wires do I need? My soldering skills are amateur at best and I did not realize that this was a necessary step, thinking this would be mostly a plug-n-play. Also, I was wondering if I need to upgrade the servo and gyro as the steering response and torque is lacking as my tires keep getting stuck to one side as they dont bounce back to straight when I turn the wheels left. And if so, could you recommend what would work with the same brushless upgrade you have in this video. Thank you regardless!

      I am glad you commented, I have actually changed my living situation significantly since I last posted and have been focusing on learning RC driving and building. I have a lot of ideas for content in the pipeline and have consulted with an attorney to incorporate and help me manage investments for new content on the channel. I will continue making Mini-Z content but also larger vehicles too.

    Hello good evening, I’m new to this hobby and bought a HexMod RC truck, it’s pretty fast but I want to make it extremely fast. Can you please help me find a good motor kit, and instructions to install please?

    Does that kyosho plastic motor mount allow for other brand's motors? For example PN motors...

    Where did you get that front bumper protector for your buggy? I like it!

    • @ZTK-RC

      The prolific maker Sleekun has an eBay Store. Here is a direct link to the bumper: www.ebay.com/itm/114730586226?hash=item1ab679d072:g:HZYAAOSw7qhgUji9

    Is it possible to only swap the motor ?

    • @ZTK-RC
      @ZTK-RC  Рік тому

      No because the brushless motor has three poles (required to build torque without brushes) and the brushled has only two (positive and negative)

    Nice vid brother. Maybe above my pay scale to solder something so small 😆 good job though. Maybe I'll just buy a brushless chassis. Not sure, or I'll just give it a try. Who knows. Btw, where did you get that ramp if I may ask ? Been looking for one of those. Cool 😎

    • @ZTK-RC
      @ZTK-RC  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for coming thru! I think with the resale market as it is, you could probably resell your brushed chassis for good money. Here is the link to the ramp: www.walmart.com/ip/Fly-Wheels-Stunt-Ramp/299133363 It used to be on Amazon but now its gone.

    How fast does it go? And how much did it cost you? Been wanting to get the blue inferno but i know I want to convert it over to brushless and I know Kyosho parts are expensive and I’m also new to Kyosho lol

      The speed will vary based on your gearing and tire choice, and I haven't run a speed checker on this so I can't say for sure. My guess is around 15 mph.
      $40 for the ESC www.amainhobbies.com/kyosho-ma020-ra45-r-c-unit-set-kyomd211/p1001184
      $35 for the motor
      www.amainhobbies.com/kyosho-miniz-xspeed-85-brushless-motor-8500kv-kyomz604/p872258
      ~$1 for wire/solder/flux

      @@ZTK-RC One tech question: I was about to catch a great deal in that exact same optima, but not at all into that body. I have an extra inferno body and wondering if both are exactly the same? Does you inferno body fit 100% the optima chassis? No difference?
