Frank Miller not only did Batman Justice he created elektra for Daredevil! He made DC and Marvel both grounded in raw reality and not many comic book artists can say that!

Say what you want about about Frank Miller. Without him we would never have had Tim Burton's Batman to the Dark Knight Trilogy by Christopher Nolan. Batman needed that revamp. Miller may not be the perfect personality, but he's done a great job.

    • @MustafaKulle

+MemphoWrasslin1 You're right. I am not discrediting Neal Adams at all. Without him we wouldn't have had Frank Miller revamp Batman or Daredevil for that matter. I'm just sick of people saying nasty things about Miller who disregard his achievements, and his great contributions to the comic industry.
We mustn't forget Year One or TDK Returns which also influenced the Nolan Trilogy.

And once again we are reminded why Batman is the be and end all of the comic book world. Simply the most dynamic, most impactful character to have ever have graced the comic book page. And long may that continue.

Miller's greatest contribution is that he made people realize that iconic superheroes doesn't have to be boy scouts and role models. I love Miller's Batman in spite of what he is, not because of what he is. Miller's version is an angry old man with a point to prove, someone who wants to teach everyone the lesson that he still matters. And somehow it's all understandable, relatable and makes perfect sense. That's what Miller did, he made Batman relevant again.

"NO MORE!!!!! ALL THE PEOPLE I HAVE MURDERED BY LETTING YOU LIVE" Batman to Joker.
"Its time you learn what it means to be a man" Batman to Superman
"You are feeling it arent you ?what the rest of us live with everyday" Batman to Superman
"The world will only make sense if you force it to" Batman to Superman
"I want you to remind u to stay out of my way.I want u to remember in all the years to come,in ur most private moments,I want you to remember The One Man Who Beat You" Batman to Superman

Frank Miller has certainly made quite a contribution to the Batman ethos. I truly did find his All Star Batman to be psychopathic and stopped reading it after 3 issues. Has anyone else noticed how much he looks like Freddy Krueger as he ages? I recommend the three part Daredevil reprints of Visionaries done by Miller. While he greatly changed Batman, his impact on Daredevil revived a comic that was nearly going to be discontinued.

The Dark Knight returns comic was the last time Frank Miller did any justice to the character.
The "goddamn" Batman was always a bastardization of What The Batman is.

People give Frank Miller far too much credit and even give him credit for stuff he didn't even do . Most of this stuff he's getting credited for had already happened just a few years prior. Don't get me wrong, Frank Miller did a lot for the character and wrote 2 of the best stories for Batman but people give Miller way to much credit

The only problem is that shortly after Dennis O' Neil/Neal Adams did Batman 251 Batman and crew became watered down yet again and even Joker became a bloody joke again - I mean come on 'Sign of the Joker"/"Laughing Fish" ? , a half-assed attempt at the G.A. Joker.

    • @bibbyboxx2219

I feel like frank millers batman is amazing in some ways, but too ruthless in others. Batman is supposed to be a guy who cares for Gotham and her people, he's supposed to be more caring. Such as with his Robins he always saw them as his sons, he didn't always see them as just soldiers. I love the frank miller batman, but at the same time I don't like him.

    • @Alaska1925
      @Alaska1925 8 років тому +4

Jeremy NYC They are just lines on a piece of paper.
      This statement means 2 things:
      1) It's who draws the characters that decides the outcome of their fight. Or really, anything about their lives and behaviour. Writers and artists, they have total control over fictional characters. You'd have to ask them who would win, and depending on who you ask, you might get different answers.
      2) Since they're fictional, on-paper characters, there's no need to get mad if you don't get the answer you want. Miller decided to stand in no man's land favoring neither Superman nor Batman.
While you, hothead, are exactly the kind of person that Miller didn't want to satisfy with his answer. You really think he doesn't care about Bats? Then explain me how he wrote some of the best comics on the guy, please.
