Chinese cities are quiet for a couple of reasons. Most people move around using the subway underground, and electric vehicles have a low noise level. I noticed the same thing when I visited China a few months ago. The Chinese government and its citizens have done a fantastic job of reducing air pollution, waterway pollution, and noise pollution. It’s so pleasant to walk around aimlessly in Chinese cities, even late at night. The environment feels safe and clean. I enjoyed strolling alone with a cold beer in my hand-now that’s freedom!
Shenzhen is the most modern city in the world, with the highest number of high-rise buildings in the world. There are 295 buildings over 200 meters tall in Shenzhen, which is more than the total number of high-rise buildings in Europe and the United States! World speed looks at China, China speed looks at Shenzhen. Huawei, DJI, BYD, Ping An Insurance all come from Shenzhen! An incredible and desirable place.
Super Amazing my friend , such a contrast to the first video , but in a good way , futuristic but cultural , organised , clean - 540m high building - off the charts 🤩🤩🤩 - Thanks Mr Huss
Thanks for showing us the future mate. I remember watching a movie where a guy comes back from the future and his advice to the main character was "Go to China!" 😎
The portal to catch a glimpse of the future is more accessible than we think 😂 Shenzhen is the closest thing I have seen to the future so maybe the advice from the movie is close to accurate 👌🏼
funny you mention culture and shenzhen because a lot of people would say shenzhen lacks culture compared to many other chinese cities because it's pretty much all new. you need to head inland more if you want to immerse yourself in chinese culture because you will see a lot of western influence in the big coastal cities. no knock to shenzhen, every city has its own charm and that's one thing about china - it's not a monolith. if you have a lifetime to explore it, you will find something new in every corner.
Hello there 👋🏼 I totally understand the point of view you are expressing. From my point of view, alot of my Shenzhen experiences are non existent where I live unfortunately. We don’t have street food vendors, street entertainers (only a few), people doing Tai Chi or playing music in the park, people flying kites, people wanting to say hello and wanting to take photos with you. All of these events can be enough to overwhelm some people from the west and it is a great example of culture. I cannot wait to explore more of China and see what else I am missing out on ☺️
Awesome three episodes on Shenzhen. I love it 😊 We have an idea, thanks to you on what to see on our trip this coming April 3rd. Ty and keep it up. New Subscriber.
Hello Sam, I. Am so appreciated your video, and i really wish that you will have great time in China and in other Chinese cities and towns, there are lots of places worth to see. Big hug from chengdu, ciaoooooo alla prossima❤
It’s definately unique and really interesting to navigate. The visa free travel for Australians could also see more people travel to China in the newr future.
All taxis, buses and most ride shares are electric. More electric buses in Shenzhen than in the entire USA and Canada. One city has more EV buses than all American and Canadian cities combined.
Hello there 👋🏼 Yes I did read that statistic. I personally am unsure if electrification of all vehicles is a good thing. It requires more electricity production and it reduces the diversification of energy types. If there is an interruption to electricity supply then there will be challenges. I’m no expert but these are just my thoughts.
The city of +-20million populations are quiet because millions are using the underground subway system and malls in their daily activities and on the roads are ev.
Hello there 👋🏼 Shenzhen is a good example of how green spaces and cities can co-exist. I hope more cities around the world can incorporate more green spaces also.
@ Thank you for letting me know 🙏🏽 I will do my best to find a good translator. There is plenty on the internet but İ need to be sure that the translation is accurate.
Chicken feet should eat it in the way of cooking . Soft skin is better than stiff skin feet when you bite it. I also don't like the chicken feet you have it ....☹️☹️☹️👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Very good vlog .... The roles of the two neighboring cities - Shenzhen and Hong Kong - have profoundly changed over the years. Forty years ago, Hong Kong was a window for the Chinese mainland to learn from advanced technologies and modes of production in the Western world. But now, Shenzhen has become a pioneer and by being a forerunner in adopting China's path to modernity, it has outperformed its tutor. 👍🇨🇳
Shenzhen definately is impressive. I’m not the type to compare cities because each city has it own challenges but each city can learn from eachother. Hong Kong is also cool and unique. Much love and peace to the world 👌🏼☺️🌎

Hello there 👋🏼 yes the co-existense of green space, pedestrian and car spaces and the commercial zones have been well planned.

Although China still has many shortcomings, it is obvious that it is the country that best integrates the socialist system and the capitalist system.
It’s definately unique and really interesting to navigate. The visa free travel for Australians could also see more people travel to China in the newr future.
i have lived here in shenzhen for 15 years. i have my green card here and i can say that i will always live in shenzhen.

There is actually direct flights to Shenzhen to some Aussie cities though
I did look in to direct flights but couldn’t find any. Maybe I didn’t look hard enough 👍🏼

SHENZHEN is the most developed city in China, meanwhile one of the most green cities. Surprise ah?
