Well said Romans, it took me a long time to really appreciate how good of a drummer he is. Imagine how hard it would be to keep up with flea and john!! Chad does such a good job and is a VITAL member of the group. Long live chad and the peppers. I like your statement about him staying in the pocket. He does a great job amongst other great musicians. This band kicks way too much ass

this is such a brilliantly written song. the soft bits of the verse lead so well to the chorus then that interlude is just pure savage!!

Interesting footage how Anthony's shirt is off one second, then on another, haha. The solo was pretty badass, fuckin hell just look at that bend at 2:35! That was really intense to see Flea and Frusciante lean each others heads on their shoulders. What an emotional song though, must be sort of weird jamming out to your past friend. That's what makes it so real though!!

I fuckin' love this song, that video shows wonderful power of that composition :) When i was playing it with my band, i fell in love with chorus... It's fuckin' funky and good to improvisation on bass. You might imagine us when we played it alive... That was awsome experience :) And great fun!

Yeah, Chad gets overlooked a lot but he's really an incredible musician and listener. Most people don't even mention (and maybe don't even notice) how well he mimics and compliments the rhythms of the guitar and bass licks that are thrown out there during jams. He'll pick up on those accents and stay IN THE POCKET the entire time. He is one HELL of a drummer and people should give him more props.
It's fun to see the cables as well. Sometimes they use cables for the instruments, sometimes not, all due to the fact that they shot two concerts. Sometimes Chad hits a cymbal and there's no cymbal sound...
