- Here's a landscape in graphite with a lake surrounded by trees and mountains. I used the regular Faber Castell graphite pencils on a Fabriano drawing paper. But the paper was primed with clear gesso. Virtually no graphite shine!

The depth you create in all your drawings is unmatched
I love working with pencil, although I am very new to drawing and don't have much to go on. Your tips on using gesso with graphite I have not heard anywhere else. And I love the blending with the brushes. It helps me understand drawing when I can hear your mind's processes and decisions as you draw. I'll be watching more and more! Thank you.
