For this years '12 days of Milap' programme, we present two of the rising stars on the Indian Classical music scene, Dr Troilee Dutta & Moisilee Dutta on the sarod accompanied by the internationally renowned Soumen Nandy on the Tabla, performing from 'On Air Theater' studios in Kolkata performing Raag 'Nat Bhairav’.

    Troilee Dutta is an Internationally Acclaimed Indian Classical instrument ‘Sarod’ player belong to Maihar Gharana. The inherent interest bloomed when Troilee was in her very infancy, at the age of five years. Her tiny soft fingers started to get acquainted with the golden string of Sarod under the affectionate guidance of Pandit Kamal Mallick, disciple of Sangeetacharya Pt.Shyam Ganguly and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. She received the most coveted taalim from Pandit Kamal Mallick and has been blooming as a Sarod Player in her contemporary era. Troilee also got intensive training from the renowned sitar maestro Pt. Sanjoy Bandopadhyay. Currently she is receiving guidance on advance techniques of music making from Pt. Partho Sarathy, one of the foremost disciple of Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar ji.     Moisilee Dutta is a dedicated young Hindustani Classical Instrument ‘Sarod’ learner as well as performer belonging to the Maihar Gharana. She has been learning since she was18 years old. Her first Guru was the Late Pandit Kamal Mallick, disciple of Sangeet Acharya Shyam Ganguli and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. After his passing, she is now also under the noble guidance, taking intensive taalim from Pt. Partho Sarathy Chowdhury, disciple of Professor Ustad Dhaynesh Khan and Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar.
