😂 Ross' inability to keep a straight face when you say the funny names is a ✨mood✨ I hope he becomes a regular fixture. Going to a plant swap together feels like a top tier couple activity.
Like how Ross and you are very chill as a couple. Feel like he's a little edgier and more decisive version of you and that complements you like Emma as a friend compliments you. He's also interested in something you love which is very green flagg-y ❤!

Really enjoy your take on plants, but definitely also enjoyed the Ross addition. I think C.S. Lewis said that we see different aspects of our friends when they are with others, so it is fun to get to know him and you with him, as well. Also, truth be told, I was wishing I wasn’t across the pond when I saw you were taking the purple-haired plant to the swap, as I’ve been longing for one myself since your new house plant tour. So glad he rescued it! Lol!
The oxalis can be an outdoor plant when it is warm enough! I’ll be putting mine outside in May ❤ (I’m also in the UK) xx
The Oxalis triangularis leaves are edible as well! They have a lovely almost citrusy flavour!

I personally have a soft spot for purple plants, so I think Ross has pretty good taste! My boyfriend would have come away with a Croton for sure, the more colourful the better. 😂

Ross is adorable and I hope he goes full insane planty nerd with you as his guide! Don’t fear the oxalis, it can be soooo rewarding once you get it right and might be worth getting more corms to make a fuller pot.

Oh lovely to meet Robert/Ross 😂 you can absolutely grow oxalis outside in your balcony Clare, I have one that lives outside all year round, it dies back in the colder months but grows again bigger and more beauty the next growing season

The first time I had my husband come with me to a local plant sale he picked out a little tradescantia tricolor, lol. I am NOT a fan of tradescantia but I now care for a massive trailing tricolor 😂
Love Ross! You and Emma should totally do a video on your joined channel of the 2 guys doing plant chores but with minimal instruction 😂 like a few easy repots and mixing their own soil (with no labels telling them what's what). Or review some of their favourite plants without you around so they can really roast some plants 😂

The silver one with red underneath is the a Looking Glass begonia and they get big so I don't think it would be good for a terrarium.
The second tradescantia looking plant is a callisia repens or turtle vine 😊
RE green tradescantia: it is 'Green Hill' and likes humidity, light/free drainage but hates drying out

I would love to see and learn how to start a bin to propagate. I’ve seen a few people showing how they’re cuttings are doing, but, how, which, when where, do I start? I’m scared to rot them all. Does it have to be a clear bin and clear lid. Heated? Under lights or in a window. Would you do a how-to on this? Btw, you have the most calming voice and demeanour. Love watching you and love the long videos.

Looking Glass is one of my favorite Begonias and is sooo easy! Mine lives in ambient room conditions and receives afternoon sun. They grow extremely fast!

That begonia is called Looking Glass. It is a cane begonia. Doesn't need a terrarium.
All begonias in general have hairlike roots.
They must be able to dry out almost to the point of drooping.
I gage mine by the weight of pot.
