Today we take a look at a rather unusual concept with the Ikko ActiveBuds AB02... Earphones with both a screen, app store and AI, powered by ChatGPT. This is the first time i've experienced this type of tech - and at the very least, the Activebuds AB02 by Ikko certainly showcase the possibilities of AI when built into smaller devices like these earbuds.

Can these be used as a sort of hearing aid, where the handheld will pickup audio and bt to the earbud(s)?

Kinda the same as using my Samsung watch with ear buds without needing a pocket. Can change music tracks and volume, with Google assistant available via a press. Along with WhatsApp which is useful if it's cold out and don't wanna take gloves off to get phone out. Looks cool just trying to think of a use case if you pardon the pun.
Cool concept and another well balanced review Stu. Cheers. There have been rumours for almost a year that the 3rd gen Apple airpods pro will have a touch screen. Do you think the issues you mentioned with this device could see Apple refine the concept if the rumours do have any substance? 🤔
Quite possible - I have my doubts that Apple would include a screen… feels like it might cannibalise one of the main purposes of the Apple Watch, but I may be wrong… they might come up with a spectacular functionality!

For 340$ it should have an better ai voice 😂. The music sounds great though, but I rather buy another phone with the same features and more.

At some point, someone probably said that about phones with cameras on them, and now look where we are - digital camera business is all but dead for anyone other than enthusiasts. 👀
I'm not sure what the case can do that the phone, already in your pocket, can't do. If it's trying to be a replacement to your phone, then I don't think it's a good enough replacement.
Rather than looking at it as a very clever ear buds case, it's a poor phone with built in ear bud storage / charger, and average sound quality at that.
Haha! In a way you aren't wrong thats for sure... I certainly want to take this technology with a glass half full approach though, because although i agree somewhat with your statement - that might not always be the case, especially with advancements in AI and how we interact with it.
