Hi, not quite sure who you got your unit from, or what instructions it came to you with, we don't supply the unit itself with an original software file, you read that from the car, its quite easy to use and we make sure they come with detailed instructions and there is a help desk open 7 days a week too. I don't think you can have done any damage, but maybe some how your files have got mixed up, if you need any help, just get in touch - best regards #TeamVIEZU
