Thank you! I'm one of those people who are super salty about OnePlus losing the headphone jack but this is good news. Thought it was going to be more proprietary nonsense
Hopefully I'll find a way to support you on Patreon eventually, but for now I like that you're putting the basic stuff on the UA-cam channel. I was curious about the Bullets myself.
Had ordered one.. that DAC u mentioned... Thanks for the info man!
Will be good for my 1+7 & my PC
Thanks for the review, just bought the usb-c bullets after watching this video. I am more of all wireless guy and don't mind using bluetooth, but in some situations it's good to have something reliable without an extra battery in it as a fallback.
Your delivery is perfectly concise and very helpful. Thanks!
I love the Type-C Bullets!!! Its slightly better than the Bullets v2, but yes, according to my observations.
Great review man!
Juan Awesome review and Video definitely enjoyed and absolutely don't know why they thought on the Android devices that this was the way to go but Thank goodness for your Reviews.Appreciate your hard work Deb 😉👍✌👌
Awesome video Jaun...These actually look enticing. I like to have a pair of earbuds to plug in at work in case for some reason my Bluetooth ones die. This is the first time that i have not had a phone with a headphone jack in my rotation. Have the OnePlus 6t, pixel 3xl, and iPhone Xr and none have a jack which is a SHAME!!!!!
I think they are awesome! I have set the audio eq in settings on more of a bassy side which i prefer and they sound good. They can output a good amount of bass if you crank the eq up and still you got no distortion.
Good overview. If I end up getting a One Plus 6T, I'll definitely pick these up.! I'm not completely sold on USB-C audio. As the headphone jacks are disappearin, I would hope that the alternative would provide better ans more dynamic sound! Hopefully LG will keep on keeping on with the headphone jack/HiFi Quad DAC combo!
great review on a budget pair of headphones, I'm always with that
Great Video as always. What case are you rocking. 👌
Thank you for using the LG V40. I was thinking that no one cares about LG nowadays
I am using LG G7... And it is great... It is not V40, but is not far away...
Awesome video as always. Has Juan done any note 9 or galaxy s9 headphone jack or akg headphone reviews of buds that came in the box. Curious how this phone compares
Great review! I'm curious to what you think about Creative's new USB C audio DAC. Thinking about buying one myself but they're so expensive
Thanks. I was about to throw my KZ BA10 for this. Good thing I watched your review.
You can add the USB otg icon to your notification panel or easy access
thanks mate. i needed that!
Good to see a lot of budget kz earphones in your collection.
For ur mate 20 did u have to buy an adapter for the charger? If so where would I buy one
Does anyone know if the works with pixel 2 xl???
Does the mic work in phonecalls though?
Does anyone know if these work well with pixel phones?
Thank you for this video! I have a Pixel 2 XL and I was looking for a good pair of USB C headphones. I really like the OnePlus bullet headphones with the 3.5 mm headphone jack and was hoping these would first, work and second, sounds just as good. Thank you sir!
I just discovered these existed. My old Sony earbuds have dodgy wiring and it keeps stopping playback, plus I need to use a dongle with my Pixel 2. USBC headphones that are decent quality, look good, at this price £21 in UK including shipping. For some reason I'm excited, lol. Saves me overspending on Bluetooth headphones that I really don't actually need. Woo
Are these good
Does it works with pixel 2xl?
For external mic, you can use the GCam port which lets you use other mics.
are these better than the akg samsung earphones
Juan how do the OnePlus Bullets compare to HTC's Usonic earphones?
Does anyone know if they work with a lg g6?
Will this work with the Essential Ph-1? Thank you.
So I'm confused, since I just don't know enough about the topic. Some of these usb c headphones, such as the ones bundled with the HTC phones don't have a dac built in? I thought USB ports in phones didn't support dacs and they had to be in the connector
Thanks for the review. The USB-C connector looks like it protrudes a fair bit off the phone butt though. I have snapped a micro-usb whilst plugged in which damaged my phone's internal port as well so now am kinda skeptical about sharing the charge port with heavy-usage peripherals. Think I'll stick to bluetooth for music.
Check out the Fiio bt dacs.
Does it support HP Laptop type-c port?
Xiaomi also has their own type c earphones, you may test those
Could you not of just used open camera what has a option to use external USB microphones?
Do some comparisons of usb c earphones.
Yo, you're good at this reviewing shit b, enjoyed this clear and concise video
2:12 Is it recording with the headset's microphone ? I am wondering because if that's the case, this is a very good microphone for Discord at that price !
I think I'll just stick with the good old headphone jack and the trusty dusty HiFi Quad DAC in my G6 🤠
I need to get these, Google USB-C Aux adapter only lasted about two months, 3rd party ones about two weeks this is rendering all my 3mm aux headphones useless....
I feel the price should have an asterisk because you can't buy them without paying shipping from the OnePlus site unless you order a certain (high) amount. In Canada that's $150, so I'm guessing it's $100 in US. I bought them alone from the site (Canada) paid about $35 including shipping and tax.
Also, I find the USB plug to be *very tight* when trying them on my OP5T, Nexus 6P/5X & Xiaomi Mi A1. I don't want to use them because I'm afraid they'll loosen up the USB ports on my phones... that need those for... charging...
They must have changed that recently because now it's $30 just for the shipping. You can expect to pay $60 for these things if you go directly from 1+, Aliexpress has them for $27 if you aren't in a hurry.
How do they sound in comparison to the original OnePlus Bullets (3.5 mm)? I bought some almost 2 years ago and they sounded great! I don’t use them because they don’t fit well in my ear.
Type-C Bullets is a slight upgrade to the Bullets v2. Sound signatures are almost the same, but the sound stage is slightly wider in the Type-C ones
Could you make more reviews about Bluetooth earbuds under $100
My phone hv a jack but i still prefer to use my kz es4 w the type c cable. Sound better. And. Wont detach easily when i put my phone inside my pocket
FUCK YEAH
That's what I was worrying about was not being to plug them into my laptop and I'm so happy they made it work. Good job OnePlus.
I miss your camera review!
Does anyone know if this works with the Pixel 2? As in plug-n-play usable.
Even I want to know that hoping for a reply from juan
I am really missing your camera test.you did on pocketnow. Can you do some here.
Nathan Cooper I think those are exclusive to patreon
No excuses for removing the jack, one plus can suck a 3.5mm for pulling a pixel. They could have kept the jack and removed the notification slider! Seen tear downs there would be enough space, especially when the dac is already built in. Signature feature here or there, I use the jack daily but that slider twice a month.
If you had to use only one.choices Samsung akg or one plus headphones..
Review the Essential USB C Headphones next!
So would this be good for Pixel phones?
Used my brothers pair on my OG Pixel and they sound great! Spotify immediately played through them without having to mess with any settings.
Been waiting for this vid forever
Plz make a video of best earphones/hradphones to take full advantage of LG quad DACs.
For
"Best" would be hard to determine for a lot of reasons, ranging from personal tastes, to use cases, to price limitations. For instance, an Audeze LCD-X will sound absolutely incredible coming out of an LG with the quad DAC and its powerful amplifier. But it costs $1200. I think what a far greater number of people could reasonably afford and enjoy would be something like the open-backed Sennheiser 598. I've seen prices sometimes dip to $150 for them, and they get you a stunningly far way toward the quality of sound that $1000+ headphones deliver. Not the same for sure, but well into the the realm of diminishing returns. And they respond well to equalization if you decide to change the sound signature a bit, making them suitable for even more people. On top of that, they're the most comfortable over-the-ear headphones I've ever worn.
I just ordered by Oneplus 7 Pro, and I was disappointed to see that it doesn't come with headphones or even the 3.5 mm to USB C adaptor. So, begrudgingly, I paid another 30 ish dollars to order that bundle as well. But, this review makes me feel a bit better. I trust this review enough to want to actually use them as my regular pair of earbuds. Even though I've had a Pixel XL for the last few years (meaning I got to hold onto a headphone jack longer than others) I still switched to Bluetooth headphones with relative ease. Ironically, now that I am going to a phone that is just USB C, i want to use wired headphone again. To be fair, I have a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50x's that I love and still use, so I definitely need a dongle.

JuanBagnell Thanks for the recommendation. You’re right that at 70 dollars, it isn’t an impulse buy. At the same time, I don’t think I, really an audio snob, even if I do pay closer attention to sound quality than the average consumer. In any case, I love your content man. I can’t wait to see more videos on the Oneplus 7 Pro. Mine doesn’t ship until June 3rd
👍
👌
Kind of a weird statement here, but... This is one of the most exciting $20 products on the market right now. Like you say, if this becomes a trend, it'll be a GREAT thing for USB audio usage in the future.
Man I'm hoping we see more options like these.
@@SomeGadgetGuy I also would love to see something like a Dragonfly dongle for USB-C.
Does it have active noise cancelation?
🤞
Metal music sounds cool?
I don't listen to a lot. What would you recommend?
@@SomeGadgetGuy idk for example Lindemann
I don't have a single usb-c device in the house. Mostly because I want my devices to have an actual headphone jack and last a long time
:-/ samsung s9 plus, iPhone 6s, 😎
LG V40, Sony 1000mx3
They sound so tiny, i really didnt like the sound quality of bullets type c. But I lost my jack so I have to deal with jackshit :(
ua-cam.com/video/_f4oJ-DQdSY/v-deo.html
Ear hooks should be included.
Agreed.
I'm using a pair of Jay Bird X3 wings to keep them from falling out. The fit is perfect.
They are there worst it keeps falling out off my ears.
Get a replacement pair of Jay Bird X3 wings. They're cheap and work perfectly on the 3.5mm and USB-C Bullets V2.
1st here
