I loved the table! I liked all your projects. But I have a table that is similar, stashed away. It's wood and I don't care for wood, I paint everything! I love chippy and this is perfect. 🤗

The lamp really came out lovely with how you chose to paint and finish it. The lampshade is such a pretty shape it looks so beautiful. The little dresser is sweet and the gilding wax was a clever touch.

WOW Rachel, The lamp looks great. The little box is so cute. Loving the black. The table…omg❣️ I love when a big chunk of paint has chipped off a piece of furniture. Look more authentic. Glad you just rolled with it. Looking forward to the fall projects starting this Fri. One definitely has to start now when your in the business of selling.
On a different note, It seems you never get paint on your clothes. Lol 😳 How do you manage that? 😂. I have to wear an apron when I paint 🙄
I am sure if you looked close enough at my clothes, the paint is there . . . haha! I'm glad you liked the projects - I agree about the table. Once I accepted that it was headed in a different direction than what was in my head I ended up really liking how it came out!! :)

Those bunnies have made another appearance…TOO CUTE!!! I was so sure that box was going to be my favorite right out of the gate but then you remade a lamp. I am so lamp crazy so I know nothing beats the lamp. AND I have shades like that one in a couple sizes. There is just something about lighting day and night that makes me happy. Thomas Kincaid graces my house in several vignettes sooo….. I’m thinking if folks are celebrating Christmas in July then Fall in August can’t be all bad. Besides, most of us start putting out fall decor in September so let’s see you work your magic with those Bundt pans, yes? Thanks for yet another enjoyable visit…see you next time as you serve up a Fall project or two or three!!!:):):)

I honestly can't believe it's time to start thinking about fall already, but by the time August gets here it will already be time to start planning for the "C" word . . . haha! It's interesting that you said about milk paint giving a really smooth finish because I thought it gave a grainy texture. Most thrift flip videos show milk paint used for crackle effect but I'm now assuming it only crackles with a heat gun?!?
I mix my paint with hot water and use a frother to mix it so that I don't have paint that is too grainy/chunky, and I use extra bond (binding agent) to make it stick, which prevents a lot of the crackling/chipping. I also sand my pieces after they are painted and fully dry to knock off any chunks/grainy texture. :)

Actually as a chippy job which a valid style it was beautifully done but it is an acquired taste as I always say each to his or her own!
The chippy look does not work on that table.
