It’s Jeep MacNichol. Former drummer of The Samples. Colorado based band from late 80s-90s. He is from the US. Was a great friend of the late Ranking Roger. Hence the fact he is now playing with his son. Jeep introduced me to The Beat 20+ years ago 😉
Couldn't agree more! Excellent live show. Been a fan since the early days and never thought I'd see them live, it was a great venue, small enough to get a great view from anywhere.
I saw the original English Beat in 1983 in San Diego California(Golden Hall) they were the opening band for The Clash. The Rock the Casbah Tour > I remember Joey Strummer saying on stage hey stop spitting on me!
no they all left the scean, dead or just stopped playing, it's now Ranking jnr with his band mates. i might be wrong there but i dont think so, corrrect me if im wrong.
Ranking JNR was born in 1983 and was literally attached to his dad’s hip all his life until he sadly passed away in 2019 r.i.p ranking roger your spirit carry’s on within JNR he is a chip off the old block. Big up
Dad will be proud
The drummer's on fire. Man's holding it down & the other musician's (including Ranking Junior) are doing The Beat proud.
Fantastic ! I bet Roger’s looking down with a massive grin on his face.
I love The Beat since 80s. Junior, congratulations. Your father shoudl be proud on you.
The flame shines on…!
Much love and respekt!

Absolutely superb .
Venue smaller than my bathroom
JEEP MacNichols in the kit!!! Killing it with the Beat!
One of the best and under-recognized drummers out there

Everett definitely had a unique style and played an integral part in the Beat's sound.
Keeping the music alive well done lads
I bet Rogers Ranking This love the Beat
It's great to see the music living on, even if there are no original members. This was Amy's first experience of The Beat live and she loved it

I saw The Beat headline in upstate NY in 82. The Bangles (pre-fame) opened up for them.
Those elbows in the pit should be SWINGING, age and space are no excuse! 25:01😂
Looking forward to seeing Rankin Junior tonight at Exeter Phoenix with my girlfriends Kay & Punk Donna 😀
You will enjoy, so much energy from all the band
Is anyone on that stage part of the original band?
Ranking junior was part of the original band he just hadn't arrived yet and hasn't he done his father proud
@@alannangle4320Part of the original band. 😂
I doubt that he was even born when the original band split up, in the early 80s.

Bit of a stretch calling it the beat tbh with no original members
Unfortunately no original members but they still did a great concert. Highly recommend seeing them
