a 404, a tascam portastudio 424mkii, handheld tape player, casio sk1, big old yamaha pss keyboard i forget the name of, an old kawai something synth i forget name of, korg d5-8 (or ds-8?), a guitar ! all into a mixer
no clue where it's from, found it in a random persons computer files w/ other old like, 80s-90s meditation guides &shit + homemade -sounding"meditation ASMR"
which dead cat lol , the teen suicide song? it's not FL - i've never used FL on anything actually, and as far as i can think of there isn't a single TS/JB/APC/ETC band song that uses any kind of plug-in / soft-synth / preset sounds like that. if i'm making music that has that kinda like, electronic type production (hard to put under just one term so sorry thats an awkward way to describe it lol) its almost always me manipulating tiny pieces of "samples" (not "sampling" in the traiditional sense but rather like, finding something i like - for example, dragging something in out itunes, off my computer, from folders i've organized, from my own past sessions/recordings, people i know, other songs, youtube videos, old 80s/90s drum/guitar/violin etc tutorials, old synth sound-bank show-off clips from old trade-shows & catalogues & ads, peoples vids of them showing off their new "toys" & the sounds they've made on em already, people singing even, on here or elsewhere, voices, field recordings i take myself, secret stuff beyond that i cant say where from, and so on so so on on etc - isolate what i like, not a phrase but usually a "sound" a moment - usually changing the pitch, the frequency, even sliding it, the attack, making it more like a portamento synth sound, or legato phrasing via strings, viola, - changing the speed, backwards, fwd, adding fxtaking away or running thru tape, reel, so much else, even warping the tape i run it through in various ways, melting it in a car dash even - etc - ok then i take that single note ive got , from whatever it is, and copy/paste it across a big homemade "grid" sot of thing with groupings & that way allow & control how the attack/fade etc of the notes are over each other, changing each ones pitch myself, mimicking basically the "play-style" of a person, their hands, or whateer - voice - etc. thats just like 5% of it tho & only one of many many dif ways i make /find / manipulate sounds to create the stuff i like somtimes theres NO work needed really at all, other times its wayyyyyy harder lol HOWEVER dead cat wasn't made like that at all. it's just this big old yamaha (i think?) keyboard i got off craigslist back in like 2010 or so. .. and drums i made, of course, and i believe thats it hah. maybe another keyboard just for added pads for oomph against the other but i don tthink so, i think it's just the one big goofy old 90s/00s or w/e , yamaha (or maybe casio but i think yamaha). thats all! & my voice, ofc, some of it or maybe all, tune thru the old t pain app which has since broken for good sadly many years back, and the whole thing too recorded through tape & the tape was bounced back in muwech slower so its at least a full interval lower, like , god - idk what key itwas, but say i tracked it all in G the master version you hear online/etc would be in Fmaj prob then i think does that make sense ? hence why my voice sounds like.... that way and why its so slow & syrup-y sounding (pun intended & unintended both lol )
