Is there some popular Japanese story about cavemen with plants sprouting from their heads? Cause Super Paper Mario also did this idea with the floral-sapiens, and every time two Nintendo (And sometime Nintendo-adjacent) games have a similar weirdly specific thing between them like electric sheep, i can't help but assume it must be some Japanese cultural reference i am unaware of....
A bit late, but in case you’re still curious, the “cavemen with plants sprouting from their heads” trope can be attributed to the tanuki, mystical raccoon dogs who can turn into grizzled men with the use of a magical leaf, sometimes hiding the leaf under a hat. The electric sheep trope is more recent, from the name of the short story “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”.

By surrendering our desires for power, fame, and authority, we put ourselves in a position to receive the power and authority of Jesus. Recognizing that we need Jesus, we can let go of the pride that can keep us from his presence. And when we know we belong to Jesus, we can approach God with the confidence of a child. We don't have to bring anything impressive to God, we simply need to seek Him. So today, what would it be like for you to approach God with the humility and trust of a small child? Maybe that means honestly telling Him what you need. Maybe ask Him a question that leaves Him deeply vulnerable. Or maybe it starts with trusting that He loves you and isn't mad at you. Whatever step you need to take, know that God is waiting for you to come to Him just as you are .
