He's so down to earth and doesn't talk down to people; unlike other rich people and the politicians that represent them he ain't full of heavy jargon to confuse people with, lofty or arrogant: he speaks with sincerity and honesty; what he has to say is moving, relevant and, more significantly, timely! I've read a sample of his book - I will buy when I can afford - it's riveting, I couldn't put it down! I cannot get enough of Gary, love listening to him. I hope his message of inequality gets through to the whole population so they realise we're being shafted by the rich.❤ By the way, Gary you didn't cheat, just the playing field made more level by being given the rules of the game, that's all; but you still had to know how to interpret those rules, use your brains and keep your nerve to win: you did that fair and square.
As a child of the 60s growing up in the post war consensus of Britain from that era I had no idea how lucky we were. Social justice was just "normal" for the vast majority. I had a feeling things were changing in the 80s, but I was still able to enjoy a free university education, get a good well paid job, buy my first home, work abroad, have respect for authority and generally enjoy my life with family and friends. Now I am in my 60s and looking back, I realise how privileged we were. And I think we should all be much more concerned than we appear to be. I guess Thatcher's famous "no such thing as society, only individuals and their families" has finally come true. The GFC, Covid and current wars have conspired to kick that post war consensus into history. Gary is so clearly correct in his analysis that I am surprised he's still around to talk to us abut it given he must be annoying a lot of powerful interests. Go Gary!
