Hello I love Venice and Nokomis. I thought I’d mention the beach in Nokomis though. On Tuesday evenings they have a drum circle where locals gather to play drums and dance and in general have an interesting wonderful time.
So many cities in such a little proximity! Thanks for the content!

Great video! One of major pluses for working age people Nokomis is access to I-75. From either Laurel Road or Hwy 681 you can be at the Sarasota University Town Center (UTC) in 15 minutes. We live in an intercoastal access HOA community that is six minutes to I-75 and six minutes from Nokomis beach. Until we retire and cut back some having this access to the airports, UTC, beaches (including the Venice ones), CoolToday Park, the amazing new Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Siesta Key (15 minutes anytime), and Sarasota shopping is a dream come true. Venice island just lost their full service hospital forever and Osprey is further and more expensive. Nokomis benefits from Palmer Ranch related retail and medical but is more cost effective. I have not played any golf courses in Nokomis but there are several. Nearly four miles of Tamiami Trail from Blackburn Pt road to Laurel Rd in Osprey/Nokomis with ZERO stoplights. Add more points for quick shortcuts to Sarasota Clark Road activities via easy access via McIntosh (off 41) or Honore (off 681). So many pluses to Nokomis - including lovely neighbors and buried utilities in many developments. A downside, everything "West of Trail" is Evacuation Zone A for hurricanes.
We love the proximity of Nokomis to Sarasota!
