Him and Estrada of the Padres are the 2 BREAK OUT PITCHERS this year! Imanga has serious movement of his various pitches as well as Estrada of Estrada having that very slo mo breaking ball that moves away from strike zone inches before moving in leaving hitters swinging at nothing. Imanaga has a serious curve and slider he uses with his fastball which he loves to throw for the 3rd strike. These 2 guys are HOT and likely both be in All Star if they play enough games or innings to get highlighted of their awesome STUFF or arsenal of pitches no hitter has yet to crack one deep.
@@goatmode7317 LMAO, that was truly funny but uplifting. I do have a knack of seeing a player for first time and can clearly see the player a BALLER. With Estrada of his first batter, I knew off the back this guy is a serious threat to hitters. And Imanga is UNBELIEVEABLE, Im a Padre so this is worth alot to mention for Cubbys.
Insane he's that great IN HIS FIRST MLB season while ( no disrespect or hate from me twords Yamamoto) Yamamoto kinda hasn't been on the best run so far but hey both could do great things in MLB
Imanaga has finally faced the MLB baptism, but what happens next is what really matters. Yamamoto struggled early in the season, but he’s been adapting to MLB through trial and error, so I believe Imanaga will do just fine too. Plus, I think his last blowout was just because he didn’t have enough Dunkin’ lattes for fuel.😅
Shota Imanaga is the best pitcher in the world right now, not only in MLB!!! Don't forget he was the #1 pitcher for Japan in WBC! Can't believe many "big market" teams like the Yankees and Dodgers overlooked him! Good job by the Cubs front office!👍
I would’ve said that he’d be a candidate for Cy Young, but after his game with the Brewers, everything just went downhill and the Cubs season is going downhill from here
that fastball just looks so much faster than 91
"a big commitment, and you come up empty like a failed relationship" is crazy lol
His card in the show is insane
Ugh I want this card bad!
His core card is the real deal. He should be a diamond already
@@thedrearybrainI rake off of it tho. It’s nasty against anybody but the cpu on hof just puts it middle
Shota Imanaga for Rookie of the Year and Cy Young 2024
There's no reason not to see him at the all star game

As a cubs fan I don’t want anybody to mention Estrada 😭

Straight up samurai
monster itself!
His Splitter 4seam combo is wicked
Dude is and always was a beast. He’s the crafty lefty to Yoshi’s fireballer righty and was a steal at 54 million.

Yamamotos first start was horrible, but since then, he’s had like a 2.00 era. So the only thing messing with his era is that first start
@@DodgerProdzz
Hard to perform well when everybody’s expectations are on you and you’ve been hyped up for years.
Glad he got his stuff together.
Yes, indeed you may interest me in some Shota Imanaga highlights. Thank you, MLB.
3:35 what a wild statement 😂
He is crazy this year
Stay healthy Shota!

Great bro mlb 👍🏼

His command will be the key. He didnt have any last start and got shelled.
@@ciello___8307 True, he doesn’t give up many walks, but he does allow quite a few hits.

They overlooked him bc he is 30
Nahh no top five
Ok, hold on, he was NOT the #1 pitcher for team japan… if anything that would be shohei
Imagine his ERA if he wouldn't have given up 7 earned to the Brewers Wednesday.
what is the number appears on that rectangular thing everytime when he throws the ball?
I think your seeing how fast he’s throwing the ball
P = pitches thrown in the game
MPH=speed of pitch

How amazing was Bob Gibson's 1.12 ERA in 1968? :)-
Amazing but the mound was higher.
Sho-Taime!
Why is his throw so hard to hit?
Exceptional rise on his fastball, great command.
@@resmartedexceptional rise and the fact that he has a low release point being a shorter pitcher magnifies the rise

Can he recover? May be.

Why didn't they show the highlights of the Brewers destroying him?
Imanaga lie, I watched em.
He got lit up by the Brewers the other day though, killed my ticket 🤦♂️
I hated every second of that. Cubs aren't looking too great, it worries me
What pitcher in history did you think never gets hit?
@@buddyboye4203 yea man. It was just frustrating, that’s all lol. Bouncing back today though. Let’s go Orioles!
He rested too long, no clue why Counsell held him out for so long
@@Deerhunter60641 he had more rest days in Japan so they are trying to get him adjusted to the big leagues.
