Who’s here after the Cubbies just signed him??🐻🔥
Me looool
Don't say Cubbies
@@ReganSmash boog says it 😉
Finally The Cubs made a major move after two months of off-season Grrr
me
I don't know how to describe his four-seams. I don't know why but they look so elegant.
It’s a really nice fastball I’ll say that
Dodgers are out of the running for this guy I think Chicago will take great care of him Go Cubs!
dude predicted it
@@fazefranklin4569 Wasn’t expecting it but yes I knew he was gonna go to a team like the cubs
Imanaga is not a power pitcher. But, he's crafty and has good control. He uses off-speed pitches like how a violinist switches notes, culminating into a masterpiece.
Bro he throws 95 mph lol
@emitsumasu1 power pitchers are on the 100 mph range. He can top 95 mph, but that's as far as he can go, as he averages about 92 mph on his fastball.
@@RussellRussell-wy2om 95 is above avg. my point is that is not something you can not dismiss as it is still a good heater.

Welcome to Chicago!!
Hell yeah, welcome to the Cubs!
なんだかんだ気持ちで押してくピッチャーだからこそアメリカでは人気が出そうな気がしてる、がんばれ!!
Welcome to Chicago!
He has signed with the Chicago Cubs.
Multiple years.
So his fastball seems to be 93-95 mph with a nice curveball and changeup. Seems to have great command too. He also has a high strikeout rate. I think he’s gonna be good in the MLB
His slider’s pretty decent also
@@histouches He also throws a sinker, clearly 2:29. There isn't a pitch that he doesn't throw, essentially.

11:51 It's Dayan Viciedo, who was with the Chicago White Sox and is entering his ninth season with the Chunichi Dragons this year
Who's watching this after hearing that Yamamoto signed with the Dodgers?
Me. #LGM
Ima laugh if this guy ends up on dodgers
Come again?? He’s a Cubbie.
Him and justin steele best two Lefty pitchers 1&2 this year
You have a young bull in Jordan Wicks who isn't to far behind and you have the number one pitching prospect in baseball Cade Horton looking to set the majors on fire. Now the Cubs need lights out in the pen
Welcome to the Cubs, sir.
Cubs win! Cubs win! Cubs win!
Welcome to CHICAGOOOOOOO!!!!
Go cubs!!!!!
Bring on down to SF. You will do great things with the orange and black. Go Giants!
Giants seem to be the favorites to land him now
@@brendan594yes sir and if we can get Corbin burnes that’s a rotation set sheesh burns Webb Harrison imaga and wisinhunt and Robby ray
@@DanielGomez-fu9nm I doubt they’ll go after Burnes now if they land Imanaga
@@DanielGomez-fu9nmgiants aren't getting nobody because they have a dookie sauce GM. Also Harrison will disappoint SFG fans as his control and lack of off speed pitches will make himself an ultimate bum flapper
yeah unfortunately we didn't get him but the Snell signing ended up being I think the better move anyway so it worked out, well at least for now that's what I am hoping but I am excited for our rotation now with Webb, Snell, Cobb, Hicks, Harrison and even Robbie Ray eventually wow very nice! Go Giants!@@brendan594
Welcome to Chicago
Hi a fan from Japan, he is like a lefty version of Kenta Maeda.
Imanaga is the hidden gem of the 2023 free agent season.
Someone gonna scoop him up.
And it better be Cohen and Stearns.
@@jason7638nope it looks like Manaea was their guy lol
Cubbies just did 🔥🔥
Never hidden. Apparently Imanaga was the 2nd-rate pitcher in Japan. Don't worry, CHC guys.
Future Cub 😁
Have tonight’s lottery numbers while you’re at it?
You say "righty" I say look at the video- looks like a lefty to me :) I'd love it if my Detroit Tigers could get him to join Maeda.
This is dope content... just subscribed. Hope the Mets are interested. LGM!
If my METS don’t get Yamamoto, this guy would be a great consolation prize 🏆. That hitch pause could give MLB hitters much agita. Not bad for a team in a transitional/light rebuild🙏🏾. LGM!!!!
Every kid in NYC is gonna start imitating the Imanaga Hitch.
I'm in total agreement with you. I was watching this guy before Yamamoto was traded because I wanted Cohen to get both of them. So now even more do I really think Cohen should make this guy his prime target now.
Cohen and Stearn (NEED) to get this man. They need to go after him like they went after Senga. And make this guy and Senga their Japanese 1-2 (righty-lefty) punch for this season.
Say it with me, Mariners fans:
*He ain't comin' here!*
What's a Mariner?
CUBBIES
I like this! 0:30
Excited that my Cubbies picked this guy up. He’s nasty for sure. Now RESIGN BELLINGER JED!
Special thanks to "American Dream" MLB provided for Imanaga who was the second rate pitcher in NPB. His latest annual salary in Japan was close to 1M$ but that in CHC is reported approx 15M$!!
Yamamoto, Senga and Imanaga- The Mets 1,2,3 punch.
The Japanese version of Seaver, Koosman, and Matlack!!!
What could’ve happened. Instead it’s Senga, Houser, and Manaea lol
As a giants fan, I feel your pain lmao
Nobody is feeling down here. (At least not me.) I’m not one of the negative traumatized Met fans who’s canceling the season because we didn’t get this guy or that guy.
@@terryrodgers9560 hey the Giants still have a great shot at Imanaga
Phightin' Phils in 2024
He is better option than Blake Snell he doesn't seem to walk alot of batter like Blake Snell does
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cub
Dodgers!!
It's dought if he can adjust to MLB.
But I wish he could.
You are a San Diego Padre
Lmfao
@@blakeh7362 this aged perfectly
Basically a 91 mph 4 seams and change-up… he’s gonna get hurt in MLB
Bro, it says on the screen 150 - 152 km/h, which is 93 - 94 mph.
The guy is a master of location.
Has a high spin rate.
His FB appears to rise.
Don't need no 95 mph.
He has a curve as well, not quite a 12-6, more like an 11-5.
Slider and slyrve
Nah
Highest strikeout rate in a league where hitters don't strikeout like they do in the mlb

Welcome to the Padres!
Can you make one of ÁRIEL JURADO?
Is he coming over to MLB?
I want PADRES to sign Shota lmanaga to 6 years 27 Million Deal with PADRES
that's hilarious
What’s his fastball speed?
looks like about 94mph according to this video
94. But it's an outlier pitch statistically. So it will play up as long as he can keep the ball out of the air. He's got great rotational numbers on it as well.
@@WesBeckAEF hop plays much better than velo, recent stats have shown
@@my2l His has a natural run. Unless those stats put every hop guy over every velo guy, it's irrelevant in this case. He can be an exception to the mean with an outlier pitch, so if he's a team's 3 or 4, he's going to do quite well. Especially in his first couple of years before guys figure things out on him.
@@WesBeckAEF if he becomes a kuroda type pitcher then it's a win
Your a met along with Yamamoto
If this guy makes the major leagues a lot of balks will be called on him with that slight hesitation in his delivery
Nestor does same
@@tich9599 yes he does
Plenty of guys have done it for years. Cueto was the master of it. The balk rules of baseball do not apply to a pause.
What he does is not close to being a balk
what lol
