Courtney decided to release this song this past Christmas because 2020 had been such a tough year and she felt that everyone needed a little healing. This was how Courtney felt she could best help in that healing process. This is a classic song released by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in the early 70's during the Vietnam war. So Courtney may not have written the lyrics, but she changed the whole meaning of the song. Lennon's version was one of despair and Courtney turned it into one of hope for the new year. John Lennon may be a musical legend, but give me Courtney's rendition any day. There is no way that his version can come even close to touching me the way Courtney does with her voice and version. She can reach out and grab an audience's heart and soul like no other singer I've ever heard. This song has become a Christmas classic in our household and I think it ultimately will be one of the great Christmas classics that will stretch across years and generations. It just doesn't get any better than this.

It was written back in the Vietnam War era, but, of course, Courtney changes it up enough that it makes it like her original. This is the most recent fully produced song from Courtney, and we are all waiting for a new album, we hope, soon. Great reaction--do more of Courtney!
