@@PrograError yea. It will be identical to Bukit Panjang MRT/LRT, Newton & Tampines MRT interchanges I guess. Tap out & tap in again. And the only bus svcs it will compete with is 3 & 39 at most. It's definitely not going to compete with Punggol East LRT in any way as the CPE goes through Punggol Central while the Punggol East LRT lines are at the margins like Punggol Field & Punggol Dr.
Well at least it doesn't look as bad as the Bukit Panjang connection... then again i don't rlly see why ppl would take an lrt connection instead of a feeder from Riviera anyway
It's not so much from Punggol than from Pasir Ris that they are targeting, where they can transfer to the East-West Line or to the main Cross-Island Line, & vice-versa for those coming from EWL & the main CRL for easy transfer to Punggol East LRT at Riviera
Maybe a feasibility study of an unopened station between elias and riviera? Maybe on the plot of land between Pasir Ris farmway 3 and pasir ris ind drive 1. Maybe it will be like Marina South/ Mount Pleasant stations to open when surrounding developments are ready.
I think it's already about equal distance from one station to another in Punggol Extension. Also the station numbers are already occupied! So I don't think they will have a plan to build new station between them. But let's see their plan when the time comes!
at least it’s unique with a side platform instead of an island platform which is more common on underground stations
So confirmed no paid-to-paid transfer link to Punggol East LRT at Riviera. Oh well.
at least it's a v-Interchange... tho I doubt much would take it over the LRT or the buses to punggol... unless trying to beat the morning crowd...

It's similar to bukit panjang LRT station. They open BPLRT in 1999 and DTL2 open in 2015.
When Punggol Extension opens, I can take Cross Island Line from Riviera to Ang Mo Kio via Pasir Ris without changing at Punggol or Hougang.

@@nick_1551 i'm more of comparing CRL to 381/386 and CRL to LRT, but I do get your point
It's great

@@placeholderblankspace looks more like DTL Telok Ayer format with the tracks being in the middle...
@@PrograError yeah that's what a side platform station is bestie
