Drum/bass guitar mix great- girl vocalist needed a hotter mic, solo guitar needs a boost pedal for his solo to come out.

Maybe they like having semi-buried vocals? It's an indie-rock thing. And the solo sits nicely in the mix for me. It's not meant to be super radio friendly bland BS. People do nothing but compliment the sound on KEXP broadcasts. The band had to sign off on the mix before it was broadcast. They soundcheck after setting up their equipment.
