I guess they either missed using 7 strings, or just dropped the 7th string on their 8s to a G#. Or dropped the 8th to D# and played higher on the neck. I think they actually did all of those through various live performances, with each guitarist opting for a different strategy each time, lol

I was wondering why I’d seen pictures of Fredrik playing on a 7 string version of his signature, despite how he normally just opts to play songs like “Future Breed Machine” and “New Millennium Cyanide Christ” on his 8 string. He needs a whole different tuning for this particular song
Most Car Bomb stuff seems to be in drop G#, although I think they do it on a baritone. Lights Out, Blackened Battery, and the Sentinel are all good contenders.

Would have loved to hear that ending riff from "The Mouth of the River" by The Acacia Strain on here. One of my favorite endings to a song. Not sure if it's the same tuning but it is nuts
Drop G# is awesome, top 3 favorite tunings, it's a shame it seems to be overshadowed by drop A and G. Cool list! One of my favorite songs in G# is The Unfaithful by Memphis May Fire
@ 2:53 yooo i remember your cover of limitless with taylor thomson and jt cavey from like 10 years ago. you've gotten a lot better the past few years and i'm happy to see your progression.

While probably not "metal" enough for this channel. My favorite G# riff is A World Away by Tremonti. The way it's mixed and when the two guitars come in. It's a "grimace with joyful disgust" riff. Also, your Polaris tone might be better the the album. Polaris is a super heavy, Uber modern bad, and I get little to no low end in the guitars. Your rendition had the beef I miss in their guitar tone. Good job.
Only having one 7 string that has a Floyd rose but never being able to decide whether I like writing in drop F# or Drop G# is killing me. Lol I got a multiscale 8 string on the way that I’ll have tuned to Drop D# though so that will at least allow me to get in the drop G# stuff when I want to.

Language 1 and 2 is quite possibly my favorite metal song ever.
