Thank you!!! I’ve loved this movie since seeing it at the theater in the US when it came out. John Cleese as Robin Hood & the man punching the ppl as they received their share of the loot was hilarious & is up there with the peasant scene in Monty Python.
@@letstalkcriterion Same here. As an American I believe that British cinema is the last hope for real cinema both in the UK & the USA. I hope that it doesn’t fall prey to the wave of “woke” & sweeping the West. Despite what’s portrayed by most corporate media, none of us want a world that’s intolerant to law abiding human beings. Western Civilization has many more benefits than detriments & it has room for everyone. British cinema & television has better writing & acting. Whether dramatic or comedic, it has more intellect than its American counterparts that fall short even when stealing ideas. Hollywood is collapsing under its arrogance while relying on CGI & bigger explosions.
@@r.williamcomm7693 the strange irony of course is with Gilliam that he is American - just watch one episode of the British dramas say Line of Duty or a more recent show Blue Lights and you'll see that is never likely to happen in the UK.
I have this title on Criterion blu ray already ... Is the upgrade to 4K worth the double dip❓And on a scale from 1 to 10 what would you give the Criterion 4K look of this film❓ thx
It looks superb Very natural colours are great in the fantasy sequences there is some grain but not excessive and its mainly in the darker sequences I would give it a sound 8. The best I've ever seen it look.

My pleasure I'm personally a big Gilliam fan. Thanks for supporting the channel.
