If I was lucky enough to win this Journal, I'd prefer to have it with different types of paper; So some Mulberry & Some Rice Paper as well! I'd also love to be able to try Watercoloring on a few pages. Of course, Blue is My All-Time Favorite Color so I love the Cover of this Journal!
I am glad you like this journal. i will remember your suggestion about the paper if i ever make one for a give a way. hank you for your lovely comment.
Loved this video, Jan! If you get a moment, watch David Bull's video about the adventure of washi. I'll go back and find it for you. He has to get his paper from Asakusa in Japan as hardly anyone makes the traditional paper anymore. One thing I noticed is the way your dyed paper created a backdrop of mist on the mountain if you wanted to paint an Asian theme. Great mix of paper from tissue paper to mulberry. If you use a dry layering technique~ rice or mulberry paper will work great. Can you tell I am excited about this topic? :-) If I were to win a Japanese accordion journal from you~ mulberry, rice and bamboo would be fun to experiment with. Hope others get a chance to watch. Best wishes~ Valerie. David Bull video~ ua-cam.com/video/xUpLl7BZ_JY/v-deo.htmlsi=mTVs7s2uWCQ2vZKf
I watched David Bull's entire video and then subscribed thank you for giving me his link.. I too am excited about this topic, I love paper and finding different types is so much fun. I love Asian cultures too, they have so much passion for their art. Love watching anything Asian. So glad you liked the video. Best wishes to you too ~ Jan
