Fun Fact: the Coronado Bridge is only 10’ feet higher from the water than the San Francisco Bay Bridge.

Thanks for showing SanDiego and The Corondo. I have a friend that grew up in CA and she wonders about the places she used to see. I love sharing these videos with her.
And a bit of trivia about that bridge, the reason it makes that long sweeping turn is because the architects wanted to make it longer. A bridge longer than a certain length makes it eligible for federal assistance money to build it, so they made it longer than necessary.
But it was a toll bridge? I paid tolls on it in early 2000s to get to work every day. So glad its free now!

Anyhow, my serious chronic health issues causes extreme fatigue so your videos help me enjoy the exciting adventures without worrying about exhaustion. Love your channel Katiie and Spencer. Spencer, you show your sweet nature whenever you pet and hold adorable Binky. Aaaaah, you both are the cutest, humorous, and very compatible couple. Great naration, interesting details truly make your videos even more enjoyable. Did you drive down to San Diego and back home for each San Diego video? What is the total mileage round trip from Malibu to San Diego and back in the same day? Traffic is probably getting crowded with businesses opening. Stay safe, those violent rioters are scary. I take care of my 80-year old motther with the help of our hired 24/7 live-in caregiver. Thank you Katie and Spencer for bringing adventure, new places of interest, and happiness into my day.☺☺☺

I know at some point you said you didn’t want to do a cruise. BUT if you went on a Disney Cruise you would have SUCH a good time. I can’t count how many times I got emotional just because it was such a fun time. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Love seeing the Disney Wonder come into Victoria BC on way up to do Alaska cruises - unfortunately not happening this year.
My husband and I ran over the Coronado Bridge in an organized run some years ago; a troop of Marines were behind us; their rhythmic pace, in columns, made the bridge shake; exhilarating..and a bit spooky......we finished at Balboa Park.....San Diego; a great city
Omg - that food and drinks and dessert and the Disney Wonder to top it off.... I'm sold !!!!
I visited Coronado island in February and came across Claytons coffee shop and loved it. We meet a few people sitting around the bar top.

I have worked out of Coronado for 6 years and still go there often. Stayed at the del with my wife for our 10th anniversary. You HAVE to eat ice cream from mootime!!!

I used to live in Coronado! We had ticket books to cross the bridge in the late 70’s. I believe the center of the bridge is 200 feet high

I've been to New Zealand; you have a beautiful, wonderful country; lots of sheep, lol and green grass, and spectacular nature.....the earthquakes are interesting too....and your citizens "carry on"
@@saguaro2231 yes we do sadly....we do earthquake drills monthly and since we often have mild ones we get scared but have learnt to carry on...I suppose. The Christchurch and earthquakes were devastating and did bring us to our knees....sad times for those areas.

When we were visiting, we took a trolly bus around the city and over that bridge....scary but amazing and so worth it! 🥺🥺 That fear of heights got to me. 🤘🏻 P.S. hope your homestead is safe!!!

I love the featuring of SD. So many great places. Think I might go there after seeing this. When I saw that dog on the balcony see Binky, it occurred to me that dogs probably miss seeing other dogs or even miss having human strangers come up to pet them since people don’t really walk up to each other anymore. :(

I love San Diego! We went last year and went up to the Cabrillo National monument. It was one of the most beautiful views of the city I've ever seen. There's a lighthouse there and the monument is amazing. We always stay on Shelter Island at Humphreys halfmoon Inn. Its really old school but we love it.

Dang you guys do it all. Next year would be a good time for a cruise. Thinking of adding A Very Merry Xmas crise on to the end of our holiday. If you have to be stuck in a port for quarantine, San Diego is not a bad place to be. We have been taking care of "HER" since the start and hoe "SHE" comes back as a stop.
