One of my favorite duets and beautifully sung. Strauss this to sound Mozartian and it definitely does!

A wonderful new rendition! Great Singers: In my native tonge: I would say: Klasse Sängerinnen! Bravo! I like the set as well! Viele Grüße from the Münsterland in Northwestern Germany, Bernd.

omg that's a charming production, such a pretty sofie, with a sparkling expressive voice, and an octavian that really LOOKS like a boy!

Absolutely superb! And Kirschlager LOOKS LIKE a teenage youth and Persson LOOKS LIKE a teenage girl.

Two wonderful singers. Watch Angelika as Sesto in Haendel's Giulio Cesare… and Miah as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro or as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte… in my opinion they are the best.

Interesting.... Here (3:28) the trumpet plays an E NATURAL, when the score says E flat... I must say I prefer the subtle harmonic of the E natural, as an appogiatura to the top note, but...
Then I listened to different versions and quite a few of them play the E natural as well....

Why after seeing the scene with Anne Sophie von Otter and Barbara Bonney all others I've seen until now (if not all, most of them) seem ridiculous. A horse? For Pete's sake. I must admit the sound and the singing of this one seem perfect though.

Despite these two wonderful singers I still can’t decide, what is annoying me more: the music of R. Strauss‘ arias, the high squeaking of the pitiable female singers or the cruel language of Hofmannsthal. One must hopefully wait for a competent writer to translate the terrible Rosenkavalier libretto in a modern and understandable German language.

I agree with Arlene: you don't know what youare Talking about. This is a production of the Salzburger Festwochen. No pitiable singers take part in a Salzburger Festwochen production. and Angelica Kirchshläger riding the horse is superb.

@@Bzcenci812 actually, the horse is being led by a handler.

What an ugly comment. I'm afraid it says more about you, than it does the production..
