      I am proud to be American. I am also upset about the thousands of times I went to the westside Oahu and seen my fellow Hawaiians homeless. Why the quantum requirement? Get choke land. Why Hawaiians make up the huge majority of the incarcerated? Why the language and way of life became shunned and illegal? I read some of the wtitings of the Queen. No doubt she loved us. Hawaii political leadership no love me or my people. If they do, they get funny ways of showing it.
      Look... my point is this. Get one foundation of injustice in this land. Many went make out good. But for many Kanaka, they got left behind. A man is always to be judged by the way he treats the women and children in his life. The same goes for a Nation.

    This is so important. I am not Kanaka Maoli. I am a native of California which is also " occupied". I teach music and through my singing groups, I teach Hawaiian history as best I can. Among the songs I want my haoli students to understand is Kaulana Na Pua. I feel we would all benefit by unlearning what we have been taught, not only about Hawaii, but from our Native peoples as well. As visitors to Hawaii, we must understand its true history. Like Dr. Sai says. we would understand all the illegal occupations a lot better. Oakland CA (Linjan Ohlone land)

    Mahalo for all the Hawaiian Council of Regency has done and there is still so much work to still be done...I see the poisoning of the Aina with roundup, corporate greed and genetically modifies foods desecrating this Sacred land called Hawai'i. We import over 85% of our foods which brings huge amounts of trash to the Islands, when the native Hawaiians knew the art of self sustainability and fed a much larger population by living in harmony with the land, the oceans and all her resources. The devastating harm must end along with the occupation. True Hawai'i can be a model for a whole new model for a new paradigm of humans living in harmony with the natural world. I hope and pray the great wisdom of the Hawaiian ancestors guide the New Hawai'i government to address first and foremost to care for the land and create a healthy environment for all who call Hawai'i home. Education, education, education for all to know the truth of Hawaiian Sovereignty and claim this land with Sacred law as the rule for a new future.

    Well done! I look forward to hearing more about what you see as the new vision the new reality of Hawaii and what that will mean for all the different nationalities The Melting Pot that makes up the fabric of Hawaii today. Just having brown hair and brown eyes does not make one a Hawaiian there are more people in Hawaii today that don't have an ounce of native blood. More of an Asian South American North American Fusion we're very few children would actually qualify to enroll in Kamehameha schools. Today I believe that being Hawaiian is a state of being a special place in your heart where Hawaii speaks to your soul. My family is from Hawaii I was raised in Hawaii my family are also Hawaiian Portuguese European Fusion so I'm very interested to know what the endgame will look like.
    At the time that Hawaii was annexed it was the thing that was done throughout the world. Throughout history a Tribe would be overthrown and the people absorbed into their new tribe, all over the world this has been the common thread.
    so say tomorrow why is return to sovereignty which I completely agree with but I am very concerned with what that future would look like. There are other groups reaching for the same goal that are much more militant in there intent. There is already enough prejudism and hate-filled resentment that puts all children growing up in Hawaii in danger. so what will the Kingdom of Hawaii look like how will it be run will it still be a tourist destination, a return of the monarchy or will it be run as it is today with no real change. I think these are the questions that the average person would really like to have answered before fully supporting your idea. on the surface it is a beautiful idea whose time has come.

The IMF , federal reserve banking system and the incorporated American government have been racketeering in hawaii ! Jurisdiction was illegal taken and people taxed all for profits in commerce . Any who profited from the illegal overthrow and used or borrowed illegal obtained fund's thur this fraud is liable for damages plus interest ! everyone that worked/ lived in hawaii has a claim for damages .

    I think it's a bit insulting on here when people (unwittingly) give their well wishing by saying "god will help" or "god bless" or "Jesus loves..." because that's how the Haoles took over in the first place. They outlawed speaking hawaiian, dancing hula, and practicing the religion of the Hawaiian people. This was done through Christianity. I live here in Hawaii and wonder, why - if we reject the U.S. occupation of our land, why we should let them occupy our spiritual values?! Know your history people of Hawaii - Jesus was used to enslave us. Let's go back to our original mana. Let's bring back our original values. Mahalo
    Awesome video!

    • @hawaiiankingdomacademia2696
      @hawaiiankingdomacademia2696  5 років тому +1

      I understand your point, but its good to know your Hawaiian history. Christianity was not forced upon Hawaiians like it was in many other places. Many Hawaiian people actually became christians on their own, including many of the monarchs. The Hawaiian Kingdom thrived as a constitutional monarchy from 1843-1893. It wasn't Christianity that took over the Hawaiian Kingdom, it was the U.S. military. There were many Christians and Haoles that supported and fought for the Hawaiian Kingdom government. The overthrow and occupation was not done through Christianity; but rather by the U.S. military to build military bases here. Thats just a more accurate representation of history. It is tempting to compare Hawaiian history to other colonized peoples, but Hawaiian History is actually exceptional in that the Hawaiian people chose to modernize on their own and take many aspects from other places and cultures and infuse Hawaiian values into them.

    • @bernardblack6116
      @bernardblack6116 5 років тому

      @@hawaiiankingdomacademia2696 "became christian" is laughably Orwellian. "Indoctrinated" would be more accurate. Every religion represents the development of that particular region. It shapes it's people. Christianity was used to justify killing jews and it was used here to justify taking Hawaii. The Religion and it's people are tied to eachother. This is not to say that all christians are bad, just that it encourages a certain inherent & indignant supremacy. Seems we could both touch up on our Hawaiian history.

    • @hawaiiankingdomacademia2696
      @hawaiiankingdomacademia2696  5 років тому

      @@bernardblack6116 Christianity wasn't used to justify the overthrow in 1893, because the Hawaiian Kingdom was already a christian country, where Christianity had been adopted since the 1820's. So they couldn't use that argument to justify the invasion of U.S. troops in 1893. The Hawaiian Kingdom wasn't a colonized place,. it modernized on its own with native agency from 1843-1893 as an independent sovereign nation state.
      Again, its lazy to apply the history of other places to Hawaii. The Hawaiian Kingdom has its own unique history and doesn't fall into the same history as colonized places where christianity was brutally forced upon people or used to justify genocide. Those things happened around the world, but its just not what happened in Hawaii.

    • @bernardblack6116
      @bernardblack6116 5 років тому

Compulsion before compliance. But neither of us were around then I suppose - but history is usually written by the victor. And as the Americans would say - it was a peaceful take over.
      I doubt either of us will convince the other. But it was a nice conversation. Mahalo cuz! Peace. I know that we both want what's best for our Hawaii.

      @@bernardblack6116 No we actually have very good written accounts from Hawaiian people at that time, because there is a prolific Hawaiian newspaper repository all in Hawaiian language. We know certainly that it wasn't "beaten" into the people. But see, that's where you are guessing based on looking at other imperialist colonial examples, and I am citing historical facts based on the peoples accounts from that time. The missionaries did not come with a foreign army protecting them, they were invited in by the Hawaiian monarchy because the monarchs wanted them to help develop a written language so that Hawaiians could be part of the global economy- that was what they wanted at that time.
      There was no violent take over of Hawaii in the 1820's when Christianity was brought in by the Hawaiian monarchy. The constitutional monarchy then maintained control of the country until 1893 when there was a somewhat violent military invasion of U.S. troops. One Hawaiian police officer was shot during the invasion, so it wasn't a blood bath. The queen stepped down peacefully, but at gun point. From there she relied on international law and the U.S. constitution and treaties with the Hawaiian Kingdom to restore her power. That never happened, which is why this is an illegal military occupation for 126 years.
      I suggest you watch this short video about Hawaiian Kingdom history before you make any more assumptive guesses about a very clear history: ua-cam.com/video/gwKpvx3I9bI/v-deo.html

      As the State of Hawaii we have endured DOE schools where all is taught in English and American and not relevant to our place, culture, language, and history. We have the military constantly bombing Hawaii at Pohakuloa and before that at Kaho'olawe. Military pollution from fuel leaks into water table on Oahu. Depleted Uranium at Pohauloa. The worlds largest chemical companies using Hawaii as a chemical test site; Monsanto, Dow, Syngenta, Dupont, Bayer, etc; testing poisons next to schools and neighborhoods where high rates of cancer and birth defects. Destruction of our shoreline and ag lands. Diversion of streams. Destruction of forest. No regulating of invasive species. Loss of native tenant rights, land rights, etc. Poverty, drugs and homelessness. Loss of healthcare at Queens hospital.
      If the U.S. leaves and takes all of that with it, we will be much better off retiring to the way the Hawaiian Kingdom was.

    The providential orchestration of the nations revealed in the book of Ka Hemolele Baibala/the Bible, the book of Daniel chapter 2, must be understood if the prophetic destiny of the Hawai'ian Kingdom, and Islands, is to be properly seen in the light of Truth! Why were the Hawai'ian Islands providentially "discovered" at that time? Why did the history of the Hawai'ian Islands, and the Hawai'ian Kingdom unfold as it did - up to today? Only in Ka Hemolele Baibala/The Holy Bible will the deep spiritual significance of these questions find the answer, to WHY?! Your friend and brother in Christ,
