It's rarely when you find a great writer and a great public speaker as Mr. STEVENSON. He has the ability to grab audience's attention for the entire lecture.

He's a brave straightforward soul. The audience here would be a challenge for any lesser courageous speaker. I probably would have trepidation speaking to a majority who had not even one of my external bodily type or race etc.
(I might try, if I were given a chance, do not get me wrong...!)

You can see God deeply rooted in this man to be the man he is today.
Scripture says “ Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. For the rights of all who are destitute , speak up and judge fairly , defend the rights of poor and needy.”
May the Almighty bless his journey in this world of injustices, corruption and power

Judges and Prosecutors break the law in the name of the law and commit injustice in the name of justice. The true criminals in wrongful convictions are the judges and prosecutors and state witnesses

It's the heart with which Mr. Stevenson gives his narration that touches me. He neither says things with hate nor does he do it with bitterness. He says what he says with love

Most all criminal children suffered some sort of child abuse and neglect, so this starts at the home. Parents and Single parents do more to help and protect your children. Protect them from abusers and don’t bring sick men and women into your homes, no man that is not your child’s father or your spouse should have place in your home. You are responsible for your children, do something about it, protect the young fiercely. They will thank you for it and even if the don’t, it is your responsibility.

They should have stood up for this motivation speech. But you see, he was speaking to people who couldn’t imagine his pain although the talk was brilliant and moving. Wait !! He was in Australia and whites have done terrible things such as massive killing of aboriginal people, rape, and pillage. They went through segregation from the same people they slaughtered. Do they realize only a couple of people got rich who paved a pathway for them to have a decent life. Just sad how black and brown people are treated all over this world. We end of coming back educating the world on how to treat and care about all of humanity.

I'm older now too, and must say the things that need to be said.
As soon as we all stop cow killing, immediately there will be a new face a bright face a hopeful face in this entire world community.
This violence creates violence and cruelty in the hearts of humans, and spreads throughout the consciousness of the whole body. It is appalling that we haven't yet put two and two together. Meanwhile prison personell, and inmates are likely indulging in meat eating to the fullest extent.
    Thank you.
May there be peace. Human domination of lesser species means PROTECTION of them, like protection of children who haven't got means to protect themselves. It doesn't mean sending them to be slaughtered so they can titillate the greedy tongue belly and genital. How can dog & cat and sperm whale be protected and pampered, but sweet mother cow bludgeoned to death?

Hoorah for Legacy - if 'America' and the other colonial powers understood that the rest of the world has good ideas too. We wouldn't need to be globalised. We could grow and evolve progressively. We can make fresh and original choices based on our own context and different legacy. It is happening though. The last six years since this was posted has numerous examples.

Nowhere in this speech do you hear any sympathy for the victims or concern for the safety of the community. The progressive approach to criminal justice has made crime worse, not better.

    • @tulayamalavenapi4028

Actually the clients Bryan is defending are often the ones to forgive, to love, to repent, to develop their personal rehabilitated approach, and yet because of the walls between them and the victims (literally and psychologically), there's a challenge to have understanding, compassion or a voice for those victims.
I saw a post on social media where a mother adopted the killer of her son after he got out of prison.
The man who wrote "The Sun Does Shine" is another example of a saintly person.
Thanks for reading my comment if you did.
I know if I were Ray, and someone murdered my mother, I might never have the forgiveness in my heart.
Bryan actually was a victim himself of his very elderly grandfather (76) being brutally murdered by young thugs who robbed his grandfather of his TV, and then killed him.
How would you be able to defend such insanity, cruelty, and sin?

    • @MontgomeryMall
      @MontgomeryMall 2 роки тому

Indeed, Bryan tries to spin the horrific murder committed by his executed client Herbert Richardson as an unintended mistake.
Richardson was upset that his girlfriend Doris Wymes had decided to leave him, so he threatened her repeatedly and began building pipe bombs. He put one on the porch of her Dothan, Alabama home on the evening of August 15, 1977, intending to kill Doris when she picked it up the following morning. Instead, her 11 year old niece Rena Mae Callins picked it up and it exploded, blowing her left hand and one quarter of her skull clean off, killing her.
Here is some more detail from the appellate record "Richardson vs State" (376 SO2d 205, October 1978)
"Doris Wymes testified that she lived at 1806 Kinsey Road and that she had known appellant (Herbert Richardson) approximately two years.
Ms. Wymes had dated appellant and broke off the relationship about three months before the death of Rena Mae Callins, her niece. Appellant and Ms. Wymes had lived together for a period of time during their relationship. Ms. Wymes further testified that she and appellant had some difficulties after they broke up.
Appellant told Ms. Wymes, ". . . *I will get you and your family, too*." When she asked appellant what he meant he replied that she would find out.
Ms. Wymes further testified that three or four months before Rena Mae was killed appellant told her that he could make a bomb if he wanted to do so. One week before the day in question, appellant drove by her mother's house while she, her mother, and some friends were present and threw something up into the yard. This was immediately followed by what sounded like a shotgun blast; Ms. Wymes did not know what it was. Then the next Tuesday, Rena Mae was killed.
