I knew when I saw a mimic that something was up with hitting a 1. When I first heard the stream that nothing happens when you hit a 1 I was dissapointed but then when I got into a game and also watched Otz's stream I noticed that there were mimics so I then suspected that hitting a 1 gave mimics. NGL the devs got us good lol

They aren't. It's the illusion of RNG. I seen people with both the eye and hand every match I played on the PTB. It seems like the rolls are pre determined before you open a chest. You just need to find the one with the legendary items in it. But it's guaranteed to be on the map.

entire game. once the game knows it has been marked as a mimic. it will stay as a mimic the entire time. including eating other survivors who havint even interacted with it yet. so its best to tell your teamates a mimic spot
