Rusty, I had a RV. Camper Cover built for my Camper that is 24 feet long last summer in 2024, the cover was 11x28 cost $3,000 dollars. I love my cover 💗
Never knew, after all the years I've watched your channel, that the RV cover had longer legs on one side than the other. Good plan on the slope of the ground.
Hey there! Love this video. I am in southwest Missouri, just went threw a horrendous hail storm that lasted nonstop for approximately 20 minutes. How I wish I would have already had a cover over my fifthwheel. All 4 skylights broke in the said hailstorm. Now in process of replacing them. It ain't cheap either! Lol so now I am looking into doing the same thing you have done here to prevent future catastrophes. Sometimes we have to learn the hard way! Lol thanks for posting this video as it has confirmed my thoughts!
Now this is a great video. Been living in a fifth wheel for awhile and NEED to build or buy a carport like this before next winter ! Havnt had a chance yet just getting a lot of things setup. Love the deck too. I build two small decks outta scrap on the back and by the door Need em covered and man getting the snow and ice off the roof this winter was a full time job. Very interested in all this. Thanks
Great Video. You got the spike rebar anchors because you upgraded a Regular Style Carport to 12'. The actual RV Covers come in Boxed Eave & Vertical Style come with Auger Mobile Home Anchors.
Gosh...deciding on wood pole barn vs Metal carport! 6x6 with metal roof, trusses made...guy wants $15,868.00. Your info was so informative....love the land....home base! Any updated info on Eagle Covers ports? Thank you for video!! I will look forward to you and your videos!
I’ve found the 303 video playlist I need now. If I watch a few every day I should be set Thank you again. I watched your video on leveling which was useful today. I’m concerned about using the leveling jacks in sandy terrain, leveling blocks and thirdly and very important my muscle weakness. The lithium powered driver tool( I don’t know the correct power tool one uses)is a big investment but maybe worth the chance when you’re impaired and alone. Learn as I go but your videos are tremendously helpful and intriguing.I will need to take my lithium meds today to contain my shopping spree expeditions and my social security check. 👜
I wondered if you would please show more your outdoor setup ? I am statinary rv living and looking for ideas and there is just not any out there. If you happen to run across some special extra setups that are kind of permanent and showed those would be nice too.
Thanks Rusty, Great info and advice. Looking for one for my 1986 Airstream 26 footer Sovereign model. New Subscriber. Glad I found your channel. Take care.
I have a 18X20 and wouldn't trade it for the world. I used the base as a form and poured a driveway. The only problem is the oxidation that drops onto my cars. It's like chalk drops on my car but it doesn't stick. There's supposed to be a sealant you can use for the underside but I'm not sure about what to use.
Hey Rusty...studying the RV Metal RV port.. just measured inside curb to curb width of RV pad...dang 17 inches....custom I guess now! The height determination for Regular roof with no cable is tricky at 11'2 inches due to upgrade on the entrance of RV pad. Plus for full motor coach Class A in future vs my Class C now. Dog...do you think a leg of 13 would cover all bases?? I was looking at your Jan. 2017 RV utube carport with info...that helped too!! They curbed the RV mainly to keep going over edge as it built up. Thanks again.
Rusty, Did you have any problems with the radiant heat under the roof? I was warned against installing an RV carport 18 months ago because the lack of ventilation and added radiant heat would dramatically reduce the life of the AC units. I'm in Bossier City (Shreveport Area) Louisiana.
Hey there Rusty! I just came across you’re video. My family has a camper in SE Missouri where we poured a concrete slab and built an open pole barn around/over our camper with metal roofing. Love the importance of this you described in the video. I gave you’re channel a follow. I have one too if you would like to follow it. Stay blessed friend.
Rusty, you did a great job explaining these buildings, I saw a few comments about where to get these buildings and just wanted to let the viewers know that you have to go through a dealer that sells for eagle carports to get these buildings. You can check out AmericanBuildingOutlet.com they are an online dealer for eagle carports.
I want to build half that and attach it with a hinge system to the roof of my Class C so when I get to my camp spot all I have to do it lift it and attach the support poles to each front end.b
Thank you Rusty. My first time living permanently in a travel trailer. Learning day by day thank you from San Antonio love to come up to talk to you soon. Have a great day back u thank you Rusty. Building new home, driveway and rv cover RIGHT NOW. Know nothing about rv covers. Your instructions/advice are invaluable.!!!
Hey! I drank beer there! Binging away! Talking about your car/trailer cover.

Rusty your carport turned out great!
Great Video.

You are a great help. I would do just what you did, get your own land then place your living quarters. Keep your life private and enjoy!
I think it’s awesome! Wish I had done that in my early 20s instead of buying a house. Mortgages suck
House appreciates. Travel trailer depreciates. Buying house includes the land. Trailers don't.

How do they stay level when the ground freezes & thaws thereby heaving the ground ! Can they build around the rv ,or do You have to move it ?
ground never freezes in Central Texas USA
