Inside North Korea's TikTok Propaganda Page

- In this video we take a look at the TikTok page NorthKoreanLife, a page that posts North Korean propaganda. For years North Korea has used propaganda to control the masses in their own country but recently, they have been expanding their reach by using social media like TikTok and UA-cam to push their propaganda about North Korea to the rest of the world. After having multiple videos like this come up on my own TikTok, I thought it was time to strap in and explore just what is going on Inside North Korea's Bizzare TikTok Page.

I believe that the man at 5:28 is not a regular man, but a secret police agent.
You see, North Korea does not allow dissent and opposition (something which most already know), so in order to catch them, they employ agents to pose around the country and maintain position, and to report dissent if any occurs nearby, such as criticism of the regime or an act of political defiance.
From my observations, I can conclude that he's most likely one of those secret police agents I mentioned above. Look at his posture, the fact that he stands there for so long without moving, how he looks as if he is waiting, and how he is watching the farmer do the work. Judging by what I read from these comments, it's most likely that the farmer is not acting on his own and is being ordered by the agent to act like that, and if he defies, the agent can report it.
Bros probably in a watch list rn stay safe man
He's in the thought police
the fact that the cars and the phone shown in the tik tok are at least 10-12 years old tells you all you need to know
Correct! North Korea is being sanctioned and newer products simply aren't available. It's the same reason all the cars in Cuba are so old. If you want to see North Koreans live better lives, removing sanctions would be the easiest thing to do and be something you have influence over (assuming you live in the imperial core).
@jamespedersen4428 Sweden sold north Korea some Volvos and North Korea still hasn't paid them back, then they're constantly threatening the one country who's greedy enough to sell them things, why would anybody lift their sanctions?
It's funny how they flex with stuff that is completely normal for the rest of the world.. "We have cars". "We have umbrellas" "We have phones" :D
The thing about North Korea propaganda is that it just isn't very good or sophisticated. I've heard Sinologists say the same thing about Chinese propaganda for the west - it seems hyperfixated on local issues and Chinese foreign policy talking points that to Western audiences often feel bland or more like government press releases.
This is what Russia has done so well for so long - even during the USSR, there was a real focus on producing propaganda that appealed to specific groups in the West, often along ideological lines. The point was partially to present Russia in a good light, but mostly to create disruption and division - that's the strategy that they find most most effective for their aims.
But North Korea? I do think it's remarkable that so little effort is being made. Who is this content really for? Who are they trying to impress?
It must be aimed at those same couple of naive tankies in the comment section of every North Korea video who bootlick the regime 😂

Also, if you see any modern foreign-market cars in NK, they were likely smuggled around the sanctions by using shell companies that aren't based in NK (most likely China).
i had a dream last night where i was messaged by my friend via steam chat by my friend that told me he knew kim jong un, then kim messaged me and then i played roblox with kim in a game where you would find other random games via 3 blue buttons and an image on a white wall in a default baseplate with a weird sky color, my avatar was grey (or gray, i swap between them some times) with a light grey torso and kim was dressed like he looks in real life but robloxified, i went afk a couple times to message my friend and kim jong un. and then went fully afk trying to do something, and then i returned to roblox seeing kim gone, and then kim messaged me, clearly annoyed of my inactivity. i then panicked thinking he would execute me or nuke me.

Possibly the roads are wide so they can fit military aircarft. Brasilia (Brazil's capital) was designed the same way, so in case of war, planes can land safely in the city
the most common reason places have wide roads is to prevent insurrection/rebellion. with tight, narrow roads, it is easy to barricade them and prevent the movement of both vehicles and people. wider roads also make protests and mobs appear smaller, by allowing them to spread out, and when they appear smaller, it takes more people to have an effective protest.
the united states has some of the widest roads in the world, by the way.

It's part of "Nanta": a non-speaking physical performance about chefs that involves a lot of tricks like using knives to cut vegetables and plates thrown to other performers.
I actually saw one performance live when I went to South Korea with my family and can a test to the level of skill that's needed for it and how cool it looks, they even had one guy on another guys shoulders catching plates and they had some beautiful throws.
Only thing is, the video they had is definitely not the take they should have used - at the performance I watched they dropped maybe one plate over a FIVE MINUTE sequence. Not very skilled if this is the best part, North Korea
So is the North Korean performance attempting to copy something which originated in South Korea?

Well actually the gz of nk sneak to the border to do deals with the Chinese for western items that are forbidden, seen it on a documentary
or some american shill being paid to say all that
It's rough no matter how you cut it- pretty much the only path out of their dictatorship regime is some kind of conflict, internal or external. There is a chance that continued intense negotiations and a strong internal popular pressure to reunify *could* perhaps one day result in a peaceful loosening of restrictions in the country but that chance seems pretty slim
The conflict caused by the USA is one of the reasons why they're isolated. War and conflict hurts the civilians.
The western powers have issued massive sanctions on North Korea. We are partly responsible for the terrible living conditions of the civilians
Reunification would be a nightmare for South Korea. I don't think they would even want it. It would literally crash their economy
It is almost impossible to comorehend how poor NK is, but their average per capita GDP is similar to sub-Saharan African countries where people starve. And people do starve in NK to this day
Meanwhile SK is more like the USA in terms of per capita GDP. Imagine the US having to take in a poor, starving African country as its 51st state. This would be simular to reunification

8:35 Why is there a fucking TANK there?!
One of my english teachers back in 7th grade, who was british by the way was a north korean travel agent who was also sponsored by the north korean government.
somewhy most of the brits ive seen on the internet recently were commies and fans of north korea, idk why, maybe its because theyre brits
Obviously north korea has even less cars but as an American it is incredibly unnerving how the roads are basically just walkways in Asia and there are so many people it looks like an anthill, but in NK it just looks dead. Apocalyptic.
“Yo dudes the empires pretty chill, maybe you could like join it or something.?.”
