If only they had taken 100 seconds to cut to your explanation, because the documentary keeps on bringing up this term without explanation. My mother funneled me into unnecessary Mental Illness treatment, and had me enter the Supplemental Security Income program in the Social Security Administration, so as to have caretaker rights over my money. When I was in high school, my mom invited an ex coworker of hers from a prior company into our house to live. She had a son also, and looking back at certain things happening at that time, she might have been doing the same thing and helping my mom further do it to me. I'm in my thirties now, very often unable to relate to others from having been so held back by my mom.
How did you get away from it? This is happening to my 9-year-old grandson as we speak and I have gone to the police, DCF, and his therapist but mom has the medical profession and the justice system. fooled.
It sucks this abuse ruins lives gone through it first hand. sad thing is these abusers are almost never held accountable in the courts. Only about 9% of these abusers are ever prosecuted in a court of law.
Something else that I wish these Hospitals would do is record the Parent or Guardian on audio when they're checking in the Child. This will all so protect the Nurse from a lengthy Investigation.
This should have happened for me, and ultimately my mom kept her plans for me very secret. There are things that she likely let fall into place, both in long and short term, through a mixture of my behaviors and others' behaviors, that allowed for her to appear as an innocent, rightful receiver of me, as a caretaker for me.
This is what I thought that the Neurologists were diagnosing me with then they told me I have Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures. I essentially was having the type of seizure that does not involve epileptic seizures. These are real seizures. I have no memory of these seizures. But PNES is caused by a high level of stress, or anxiety, and I'm already very ill, and rely on a ventilator to breathe, and have a feeding tube, and am legally blind. Thankfully they were not accusing me of faking these seizures.
Also they will do it to there self to get attention from family and friends i see alot if it in west Virginia and the dr know about it but don't say anything to them that needs to change to.
This syndrome is a mental paranoia where someone truly thinks that a person or themselves is sick and needs help. How can you be arrested for a mental illness? The doctors who listen to these individuals rather than the patient should be the ones in jail. I'm so confused!
Scientifically in nature there are always androgynous creatures on every species. Statistically, about 0.05 human births are of a child without a standard gender, either genetically, anatomically, hormonal and so on. Always have. What can be considered pathological tho, is how some individuals get triggered and obsessed about controlling other people's gender and sexuality to the point of commenting about it whenever they can. It's a form of sexopathic behavior actually. And for the record, I'm a typical heterosexual woman. Just thought it would be good to educate people who might stumble on your comment

Also for gender reassignment surgery you have to be at minimum 16 and have your guardians sign off on it being OK if they don’t you have to wait until you’re 18

Transgender ≠ transex and they will tell you that themselves.
