James and his wife went on to have two children after this experience, which doesnt diminish the pain but provides some hope😊❤

This is a reality James and his wife lived thru. This is a beautiful heart felt song. I lost a child 47 years ago. This song helps come to terms with everything. What this song did for me was to show how the father suffers to.

This song is absolutely a personal one for James and his wife. Another beautifully written verse about something heart-wrenching. My niece had a miscarriage a few years back, then a healthy girl 2 years ago. Last month, she expected the possibility of a still birth at less than 6 months - miracles happen, and she delivered a 4 lb little girl. Healthy and home. The family grew again on Feb 3, with my another niece delivering a baby girl.

James is amazing! He sings from the heart! and most of his songs reflect on his life experiences. His music helps heal his trauma. please react to Carry you Home and No Bravery.

My first wife and I lost 2
    2nd wife and I lost another 2
Between both marriage I was graced with a daughter who is now 33 and has given me 2 beautiful grandchildren. Granddaughter 2 and a half and a grandson 1month. I love them both with my life but always wonder what could have been. 😢

I experienced it twice. Even though I went on to have three children my heart still breaks at the memory of my lost babies. I miss them. Get sad when there deaths and birthdays pass.

This is a very hard song for me to listen to. I lost my first baby 27 years ago when I was 14 weeks pregnant. I blamed myself. I still do a little. I didn't know the gender but I feel my baby was a boy. We had picked out names. Miles for a boy and Missy for a girl. I had bought a boy and girl out for when it was time to bring baby home from the hospital and I had to return them. That was heartbreaking to do. I haven't really grieved losing my baby. I was his mother and I let him down. I couldn't protect him. 😢💔

I think people request these songs to see reactors cry. I can't think of any reason. :). It's another real weepie. I never lost a child that way but it still gets me weeping, every time. He is a wonderful song writer and singer. This was about the miscarriage of their first child. They now have two sons. He writes about a lot of his life experiences and I believe it's a form of therapy. Writing can be very therapeutic and he never hides his pain in his videos. In interviews he doesn't talk much about his sadness but it's all there in his songs. There are two from his time in Kosovo, No Bravery, and Carry You Home. Be warned. More terrible sadness.

HI Dennis. This song hits so close to home but most of his songs do. They all seem to just tug at your heartstrings and end up with the tears flowing. . He is sn incredible writer and singer and his songs reallly are beautiful.

This song hits me more than 'Monsters'. While, sure, it's extremely sad, my father is still alive. He's 78, so it's something I'll have to deal with eventually, but right now he's doing pretty well.
    But, yeah, This Song...
My wife and I tried for a little girl early on in our marriage, but suffered a miscarriage. We also had a name picked out. We continued to try some after. Taking the steps our doctors suggested, scheduling our sexy-times, and all that, but eventually, we gave up actively trying.
We're now around 50. I'll not be suggesting this one to my wife.

We had so much difficulty in conceiving, but I have always been so grateful that I never had a miscarriage. I truly don’t know if I would have lived past it.

My wife had three miscarriages, and I never realized how emotional it was for her. As a guy, I just wanted to "fix it", but by doing that, I never acknowledged her pain. We ende up having triplets, so I always have looked at it as if we got all three back, but we just had to wait a while longer than we planned, but I'll always regret how I handled the miscarriages.

Heartbreaking lyrics. This isn't as common, but it does still happen. I know my aunt lost her first two pregnancies, before my twin cousins were born, a few others after. I'm glad I believe in a religion that teaches that those who die before maturity, will be resurrected at the beginning of the Millennium, and will finish growing to maturity. And if their parents have been righteous, they will be there to see it.
