Because it was years ago and the camera had to be as small as possible to be hidden and back then they had like .2 megapixels.
i dont know why he didnt send them to tesco managers and owners instead of customers. the police would have worked just as hard to catch him.

I live in Essex and sometime around 2002-04 my older sister told me about this story. I always thought it was an urban legend, because I couldn't think of how the bomber would know the customers' addresses. I only realised this was the same story when it mentioned the letter-bombs.

They couldn’t because they couldn’t take him at his word. And also the means to transfer the money that the bomber specified in the letter was impossible. The police tried to tell him this.

The problem is the colors are distorting the image. Increase re sample image increase the dpi, click on box to maintain image size to about 300 dpi...then go to channels and rgb split channels you will see that the red channel is lighter you should be able to clarify the picture by playing with the hue/contrast...etc....hope this helps. bottom line build back the information into the picture...there is a Gaussian blur that is caused by the light fixtures.

I bet you are some type of a graphic designer. I thought this might be a way to go, I would also sharpen image after all color corrections.But not too much, or you go off into another tangent of distortion. You should apply to New Scotland Yard.

Should’ve asked the bank branches in Bournemouth to make their ATMs print a receipt and ask the user to go inside the branch to collect their cash... the receipt would have the detail about the card used with the number.. the number could be crosschecked with a list of all club cards Tesco would’ve provided to the banks..
