Hello Andy, I am approaching my ASQ green belt exam and I wanted to confirm how many resources I can bring? Would the handbook and a 3 ring binder be acceptable? Thanks for the help!
There isn't a limit on the number of resources you can bring in. So yes, you can bring in the handbook plus a 3-ring binder of additional content (not practice exams).
hi thank you for this video, please I am confused , how many green belt certifications are available , I thought there's a single regulatory body for the lean six sigma, also how do I get a material to study for my exams
Great question. So there are a handful of organizations that provide “certifications” for Lean Six Sigma, and there’s no central regulatory body. In terms of getting study material, there are options out there. My course (which I think happens to be the best) can be found on my website.
Registered today for the August green belt test. Do you think 80 hours of studying is a realistic goal or way overkill? Been in manufacturing for 5 years but not super up to date on the specific six sigma principles.
Hey John! Yeah I think 80 hours is realistic! Being in manufacturing helps, if you've been exposed to the principles and concepts in the body of knowledge.
@@ModernReviewhey, congrats! I’m preparing now. I hold a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering so still remember some concepts. Realistically, how many hours should I plan? Also, was the handbook sufficient? Thanks a lot
Hello Andy, I am on my journey to achieve my Green Belt from ASQ! I bought the book and I wanted to ask can we highlight definitions, phrases, and keywords in the book? I plan to use yellow highlighters. I'm also going to use the sticky note tip you suggested.
The Green Belt Certification is the actual exam you have to pass to become a certified green belt. The E-learning is an online course to help you prepare for that exam.
Hey Raheem! Yes, you need to study the entire textbook. There are definitely going to be some topics and concepts that are more prominently featured on the exam, but I would always recommend studying the entire textbook.
Thanks Andy! Great content!
You're absolutely welcome!!! And thank you for the feedback!
Very helpful! Thanks for making this video.
You're welcome!!!
Your lectures are wonderful n practical
Thank you!!!
Awesome video, Could u tell me if test is in Spanish too?
Great question, and honestly the answer is, I don't know.
I'd email ASQ to see if they offer the exam in spanish
Awesome tips!
Thanks Omid!
Hello, first of all, thanks for this excellent video. I'm interested in the practice exams. How can I acquire them?
Head over to the website - greenbeltacademy.com to find them

Yes you can absolutely make highlights and notes in your resource!
What’s the differences between the green belt E-learning vs green belt certification? I’m on the ASQ website but both look like they are online.
The Green Belt Certification is the actual exam you have to pass to become a certified green belt.
The E-learning is an online course to help you prepare for that exam.
Do I need to know calculus (or higher?) for this?
No, not at all!
Statistics is the primary (and highest) math concept on the green belt exam.
I have question that doing CQE for Lean six sigma if there are 2 years experience?
For CQE the requirement is 8 years, and for Green Belt (LSS) it's 3 years.
Did that answer your question?
Hello,
Do i need to study the whole text book or there is a particular highlights to follow?
Hey Raheem! Yes, you need to study the entire textbook.
