- Join us for a tour of our farm! See different areas and aspects of farming with draft horses and explore our farm with us! My daughter, Trudy, who is a third grade teacher, takes us for a tour as a virtual field trip for kids who are unable to come.
Watch our videos to learn about draft horses- horse logging, horses farming, and horse training! Jim uses Belgian, Percheron, and Suffolk horses to do work on the farm and in the woods. He teaches about harnesses, horse-drawn logging and farming equipment, horse feeding and maintenance, and voice commands for horses. New videos uploaded every week. Keep watching to see how Jim trains his new Suffolk Punch colts as he has trained his full-grown teams!

Refreshing just horses and farm no politics nothing bad just good old fashioned entertainment. Thank you very much.
Very lucky kids to have a teacher with real world experience
Nice presentation Miss Gordon!
We just don't see Trudy enough, good job guys!
With a teacher like her, no problem to repeat & repeat school. Thanks for share
Our pleasure!
Jim you are e very lucky man to do and have all you have , you have all the riches of the world, wonderful daughters and wife that works right along side of you,may the lord aways be with you and your beautyful family, greetings from a transplanted Brazilian in massachusetts
If your daughter isn’t a teacher she should be. Her enthusiasm and patience show thru in each thing she addresses. You must be very proud of her!
We are very proud of her, she’s a 3rd grade teacher and she puts a lot of effort into her work
Jim and Brenda I ran across this thumb nail of two years ago. Your daughter Trudy was showing things that family do on the farm. I have to say a little deference between then and now. But the most awesome thing was to see Buck and ken looking so beautiful. I love being a subscriber to you and looking forward to more. thanks for sharing your life R.I.P Buck
Thanks Rodney! Yes, he was a Great horse
What a pure sweetheart...be proud poppa
Yes, she is a sweetheart!
Jims vidios get better and better more people should be watching this
Abby, you did a great job with the tour and the camera person is really proud of you.
This is the first video of Trudy that I have ever listened to with her leading the video. It’s amazing on how much she sounds like her sister Abby. They have the same voice, both have same use of gestures and use of hands. They look like twins but Trudy is taller and her facial futures are more pronounced than Abby’s.
Those Perchon's and Belgium horses are just fabulous looking horses. That cabin is very comfortable looking.
What a wonderful life your daughter must have had living in such a place. Horses are the best of the best
Wow Trudy you are my favorite star now...I love the horses but you did fantastic. Hope you do more in future.
Thanks!
I'm sure your daughters students enjoyed seeing those BIG horses. Thanks for sharing.
Boy, Lady really is a BIG mare! Really hard to pick a favorite, but I like Ken pretty well. He's VERY handsome.
What a nice tour. A really nice family and a great way to live. Take care and stay safe,Al
Thanks, you as well
My dad would read books to this kids via Facebook. The last book was the 1st book he read to kids as a librarian. He retired this year after 46 years at the same school which included being my principal for 6 years. It was neat seeing commits from all the students he had influenced in his 49 years teaching. my hats off to your daughter and all the teachers that have found ways to influence students this year!
Your daughter's voice is a perfect blend of her mom and dad's.
Great video great 👍
Good explanation. A true teacher. Her students are lucky to have her.😷👍
The perfect life! Hard work filled with personal growth. A life to be proud of. Thank you for sharing your family and home with us.
Wonderful class trip! Enjoyed all of the knowledge and memories, I too went to ice skate on the pond at a dairy farm. Beautiful memories!
Our pleasure!
What a wonderful tour. Georgeous horses. Very nice to see them up close and no track on them.
You have everything needed to make a fantastic story, beautiful daughters, fabulous horses, a wonderful mom and Jim to tell the story. The farm life is going by the way side and we all need you to keep the story strong. ConAgra et al isn’t the only thing! Thank you for keeping farming real and many hugs to you all for your hard work!
Thank you so much!
I still remember my 4th grade teacher parents farm that we went to for the day some 40 years later. We were shown where food comes from, and the process it takes. They would always have the students "plant" in the Spring and in the Fall we had fresh veg from their farm. I'm glad that Trudy shares her upbringing to her students.
What a great video! Thanks Jim and lovely daughter:)
Those horses are in beautyful condition. I worked on a thoroughbred race horse farm for six years so the fork AND I have seen the back end of the race horse industry. HA HA HA.
That barn is massive. Cozy cabin looks welcoming.
So good to see your family. She's obviously a good teacher.
Just wonderful thanks for everything. As a young lad growing up in the 40's the tractors were starting to take over but there were still a few horses. that is about what I remember.
Glad I found your farm tour with Trudy. I would tramp into the🌲🌲🌲 woods with a halter, shaking a grain can :-)
Although I mostly kept leather halters on my horses. They would break if a horse caught a leg in them. It was easier for me to catch them, except Houdini could get out of ANY halter! I rarely found them. Expensive to lose.
Such a wonderful way to be raised! My father-in-law built his 80' long, three story dairy barn in 1952. We use it to house Polled Hereford in the winter and lots of hay. Average 7,000 square bales a season. We just got a couple hundred bales in before the rain yesterday. Been haying all week with extra help. A Godsend.
Back in 1935, 40% of American farms were working family farms. Today that figure is LESS THAN 1%.
We are proud and grateful to be part of the 1%, along with farmers like Jim, Brenda and family. I wish more folks would be interested in establishing family farms. I was teaching occasional workshops before 2020 and hope to do that again. Some of our neighbors are interested in organic gardens, raising chickens and small farmsteading.
Thanks for this great tour! ~ Diane
Hi Gordon family, just recently discovered your channel. You folks are living our dream, thanks for the tour. I really enjoyed the "first annual and hopefully the last covid horse pull". You guys obviously have a great sense of humor. Thanks for brightening our day.

Ya could really see the teacher in this Video, Good Job Miss Gordon, so very different from where I am.
Your daughter is just lovely and I have 2 sons that are teachers and a daughter who is an assoc.professor at a prestigious university in Boston so I am quite partial to teachers and the wonderful profession that they do in working with children. Also love your cows.I have had 2 open heart surgeries and have 2 bovine valves both the Mitral and the Aortic valves are made from the intestinal tract of the cow and a cow valve lasts 5-10 years longer than a pig valve. So to me;all cows are my distant cousins.Thank You for sharing your farm with us today.I really enjoyed the tour.Love your videos and look forward to each new happening on the farm.
Thank you, and yes, we are glad Trudy has chosen to be a teacher- it’s a tough job! Glad your valves are working well!Cows have a lot to offer! Brenda

Thanks so much for the tour, you are a amazing young Woman.
Thank you so much!
Nice to see the bells on the team. My dad did the same. He would use the team to collect sap in the spring. He also worked at a saw mill and used the horses to pull the logs to the mill. Many years ago.
Awesome video Jim! Something a little different, I really enjoyed it. Your daughter is absolutely gorgeous! 👀
Lorenzo Woodson it is an awesome video but I didn’t make it, Trudy did, she has way more skills then me.

Trudy nice presentation. It's always nice to see you and your sister helping your dad out on the farm. I would love to come visit your family on the farm.
How absolutely wonderful! I don't think you should be too worried about us knowing that you played in the sawdust pile in your bare feet either.

Enjoyed the farm tour !! Very good !!
Awesome 👍 video love watching these
I haven't been in 3rd grade for a long time, really enjoyed the field trip though. We as a society are so far from our agricultural roots that it is great to see such teaching going on.
Super schön bei euch
Wonderfull video !! I enjoy it. Pls go on with your stories 🍀❤
Wonderful video Trudy
Beautiful
Gorgeous
Great video.
Yes Trudy you and Abby are both alike
My brothers always got to go on interesting field trips, like Storybook Gardens in London, Ontario, or Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan. I always got to go to my family's farms, where I spent every summer anyway 😂 It's just how it worked out with the school's classes, as they rotated every year. And here I am going on another farm field trip 🤣
Thanks for sharing!
What a good looking farm!! Very well organized.....
Thanks!
I remember when I was a kid and grew up around my granddad's Morgan stud "Charlie" and for what ever reason old Charlie and me had a bond that even grandad could never explain that 2000lbs horse was as genital a lamb with me he dip hi head I jump on he raise his head so I could ride on him my legs could never reach his side's I could climb all over him and never minded but totally enjoy it. Side note Charlie was not the most friendly at all, only grandad and I could lead or mess with him, brush, trim, harness, or touch his hooves. Good Old Charlie 😊
Thanks for sharing your memories
