Teri I don't know who told you that ratte snakes are only certain areas of california. But they are wrong. I am born and raised in California we have them every where . Even in the cities.
We are born with 2 innate fears: fear of falling & fear of loud sounds. When you walked on that glass bridge, which has some movement, your fear of falling fear was triggered. Totally normal. But you couldn't drag me across that bridge!!
I’m from the Redding area. The Sundial bridge is prettier at night when all lit up. If you would have gone the other way you would have went by Burney Falls which is beautiful to go see. One of my favorite places to go.
Hello, Terri and Scott from Michigan. I've been watching your channel for many, many years. Thanks for taking me along with you today. Safe travels till I see you both again. ❤
Teri when I was younger I had no fear of heights but as I got older that's a different story. This has been so awesome to watch and I love butterflies as well. Every shower curtain I have ever owned has had butterflies on it. Wish you could send some cooler weather this way. So grateful for A/C. What a nice place to camp out. Enjoyed watching and thank you so much. Hugs to Punkin and Much Love.
Great video. The bridge is pretty cool and yes I would try it just so I could see the great things on other side. Thanks for taking us along. Take care you two and keep enjoying your adventures.
Oh guys. This video made me cry because I’m really really homesick for Redding. I have very many close friends who live there even though I live in Canada and I haven’t been there for a couple of years. Little titbit about the bridge. A local Bible school sends some students in harnesses under the bridge to give it a good scrubbing every year. it is a part of their community service program You’re right it is sun damage to the glass but the bridge is sturdy and in excellent structural condition. You were safe.
You know I love these videos!!! Traveling with you guys and seeing a lot of fun and amazing things!! Loved those beautiful trees!!! 😍 I have been in that area before but not on 44. Thank you for sharing. I would be leary of the bridge too but think I could do it.🙂
Hey Teri and Scott it was great to meet you this weekend at the Chainsaw Competition. Thanks for sharing a great place to park for the weekend. Safe travels to you both. Enjoy your videos! We traveled to Redding during Covid to get our vaccines twice! And were fortunate to explore the sundial bridge and some new birds for our life list. Glad you made it over the bridge.
Hello Teri and Scott Thanks for sharing your video, I would have a big problem with even getting on that bridge to begin with. I have such a fear of heights, and am so proud you got to walk it. I’m sure that place looks great all lit up. Have a great rest of your day😊
I remember being in that area when I was a kid with my parents probably over 50yrs ago. I know I've been to Antelope lake and Eagle lake. My aunt and uncle lived in Susanville. Beautiful country in those mountains!
I used to live near Redding and walked across that bridge many times! Yes, it’s a bit unnerving! Yes, there are rattlesnakes! We saw them all the time.
Well done Terri, I don't think I would like walking on the glass either. I have vertigo and can not look through the rungs / handrail support if it's over land & buildings, but looking through them when I'm over I'm OK. I also have difficulty with escalators when they are stopped. The first few steps make me nauseous but the rest of it is ok.
There are a couple of glass bridges in San Francisco. One was over a BART station and one was across the street. I walked several blocks out of my way and all the way across the street. I could not walk on either bridge. I wasn't exactly panic but it was close. I gave up trying. I still don't understand why it had that effect on me. I can use outdoor elevators going up and down so it usually have to do with the sideways motion. Take care of yourselves and Punkin.
That was a lovely camping area and a very scenic drive to Turtle Island. I tensed up as you walked on the bridge and didn’t relax until you made it back across. I miss out on things because of fear so thank you for sharing the experience. Teri I am so impressed that you pushed on! Cheers guys 🍻
Scott & Teri, you were in our neck of the woods. Had we known you were at the Sundial Bridge, we would of loved to have seen you both and Punkin. Our summers are very hot, clear into October. Ugh!!
Susanville was a cool little town. I stopped by the fire department to get a permit to use my camp one stove. I think I was the first person to get one because they weren't sure what to give me. 😂 Crescent City California is the place to be. Redwood Forrest and the Pacific Coast and an awesome city park with a seal rescue 👍 Hope y'all get to visit 🙏💞❌⭕, Iris and Little One 👋🐾
Hi Guys, I've been with you both for years & years, in fact I was trying to remember when I first started following ya all, it was before your Accident with your first truck Camper, but I can't remember when the first time was...guess it doesn't matter.. I'm still in Zeeland Michigan, was hoping that ya all would head back over this way........ Still would love to make a dinner for ya all.... Maybe one day.... I so enjoy going on trips with ya all... & Scottie We used to have a Cabin up in Red Feather Lakes Colo. the Elevation there is 8,245 ft there are still Rattle Snakes up there lurking about... they always travel in pairs, so if you see one keep your head on a swivel, because there is always a second one or more.. Let Terri know that I'm not so sure that I could do the bridge either, I walked the Mackinac Bridge it is 26,372 ft. in length, or 4.995 miles {Almost 5 miles of walking } from one end to the other & that bridge swayed back & forth as we were walking over it....it is the 27th longest main span and is the longest suspension bridge between anchorages in the Western Hemisphere & there are no port-a-potties along the way... I had 3 little girls that walked with me... {My daughters & my Ex-Husband} Praise God he's my EX!!!!!!! Anyway I don't think that you'd like doing that walk either, they only allow it on Labor Day in Sept..... I haven't heard ya all talk about Jay in awhile is he still around? Take Care My Friends.... Love Ya Both! Adele Somewhere in West Michigan 4:10 PM EST 6/17/24......
You guys have so much fun exploring. I have a good friend who lives in Redding. He’s always going fishing in the big lakes around here. Time for you to get out of the heat! 113 in Phoenix already. Take us somewhere cool!
Wondered where that bridge was, haven't been up that way in 50 years. Always thought Lassen and Shasta was a beautiful area, we stayed overnight in Weed in 1965....I believe that's more than 50 years! Loved the drive and seeing the trees, thanks.😁😁😎😎👍👍
I held my breath for 3 miles until you got off that narrow road (as I’m sure you and Punkin did) ☺️Been there, done that, and met up with a truck and trailer annndd we were on the outside! Ugh! We lived to tell it though! Safe travels! Love your channel. You two, I mean threeee, are cute!
Next time through Hwy 89 through Mccloud is much easier and a little quicker. Their is off grid camping along the way to Hwy 5 near Mt Shasta. I have off grid property in McCloud you would be welcome.
We often stop in Redding on our travels between the Bay Area and Portland along with the Oregon coast to visit relatives....Bout 3 miles from the Sundial bridge here is a great little place to eat just off I-5 and part of the Best Western there called C.R. Gibbs ....Great grub....Not sure you could make it in there though with the 5th Wheel....Travel safe back to Washington and be well....
From all of the photos and videos I've seen of Lassen, Shasta Lake, and the Mountain..... it would be well worth putting on your list of future places to visit. Just so that you guys are aware, there is a rattlesnake to be found in northern CA, Oregon, and eastern Washington State-- it's called the "Northern Pacific Rattlesnake." They're found in all kinds of terrain and climate, from the deserts to the prairie grasslands, to the rocky ridges in the foothills, and in mountain meadows and forests. (I only know this because I am in the same camp as Terri. I know they do good, but leave me out of it). Agoraphobia? Absolutely knowing the damned thing is going to collapse, or that I will slip over the edge if I'm next to the railing? Yup yup What were the butterflies made of? Metal? Gorgeous.
The older I got the worse it got. I had to walk backwards down the one lane Statue of Liberty spiral staircase. Scariest bridge in the world was the old Meridian Bridge, northbound in Yankton south Dakota. Not only me it scared. Young husky farmer had his brother drive across and block the southbound traffic so he could cross on the lower deck.
Fear on that bridge… perfectly normal. If it’s not a real “normal” feeling for you, maybe something very real and very scary has happened and you buried it. It now comes out to rule your response to things you otherwise wouldn’t be _that_ afraid of. I’m only guessing, mind you, because something similar happened to me. Now I seem a tad bit afraid of anything out of the ordinary. (Sometimes a big “tad”!) 😅
In my later years I’ve found I’m more afraid of heights than I once was. When we visit our son in Texas I even get anxiety driving over those real high overpasses.
Nice ride along. Safe travels. PS. When ur pup is doing what she is doing. She is saving her food. They burring there food so she can have it for later. Food and in security on the way she was treated..
First time coming across your video. Subscribed because of your relationship and adventurous life. My husband and I have a dream to live part time in an RV and just bought an off grid cabin we go to on weekends (sometimes during the week for me). Have you ever come up to Canada?
We have been to Canada many times, we are from Washington State. We would up to Vancouver at least twice a year back in the day. Thank you for subscribing. Have a safe and awesome summer. 👍👍👍
For me it is the lines of the bridge. I get dizzy while walking if there are a lot of lines in the sidewalk, or in the buildings. I could not have walked that bridge, I would of fell down.

If I met you on that road with my class C, you’d have to back up because I have a car on a tow dolly. I can’t back up with that on there. Well I guess I’d have to unhook the tow, dolly and turn the car around and pull the tow dolly with the car, lol there’s your comment
There is no way I could walk across that. I’m petrified bridges but then to have a glass thing to walk across. No thank you it does look beautiful though.
Teri I don't know who told you that ratte snakes are only certain areas of california. But they are wrong. I am born and raised in California we have them every where . Even in the cities.
It was me, I'm not sure what I was thinking
We are born with 2 innate fears: fear of falling & fear of loud sounds. When you walked on that glass bridge, which has some movement, your fear of falling fear was triggered. Totally normal. But you couldn't drag me across that bridge!!
That make complete sense 👍👍👍

That sounds like a must see, never thought about that. 👍👍👍👍
We lived in California for 12 years and my husband hated it. But when I look back I miss it.
Lot to see and do in California
Wow, Teri made it through with flying colors and with nerves of steel!
A 1 lane road for miles and a walk on a glass bridge! 😊
I will tell ya TERI is one hack of a trooper 😊😊
Hello, Terri and Scott from Michigan. I've been watching your channel for many, many years. Thanks for taking me along with you today.

Thanks for watching! And thanks for great comments 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for the video. You two always make my day. A big hello from the Azores, Portugal. I have followed you for years. Big hug to you both
Thank you so much for watching and commenting from Portugal. I was there as a little kid.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

For me, I prefer a smaller, more nimble rig. It makes it a breeze to maneuver. Well worth the loss of space. What a beautiful drive.
Totally agree
Really enjoying your travels this spring, beautiful scenery etc. and of course good travel company! Love you both! Great video!!!!👍🫶🐾👋
Thanks so much!
I'm so proud of you for walking that bridge I wouldn't have done it at all .
Teri is a trooper for sure.👍👍👍👍
You know I love these videos!!! Traveling with you guys and seeing a lot of fun and amazing things!! Loved those beautiful trees!!! 😍 I have been in that area before but not on 44. Thank you for sharing. I would be leary of the bridge too but think I could do it.🙂

@ 9:53 that sun makes Scotty's skin look all weird , if you know what I mean . LOL
That was my bad side 😁😁😁😁😁
Thanks guys great enjoy life one mile at a time 🙏🙏🐶
Always! 👍👍🤗🤗🤗🤗
Actually, downhill traffic has right of way - at least in California. Love your videos, especially your trek home to Washington!
From what I've learned vehicles going up hill have the right of way. A vehicle facing down hill has more control backing up.
I remember being in that area when I was a kid with my parents probably over 50yrs ago. I know I've been to Antelope lake and Eagle lake. My aunt and uncle lived in Susanville. Beautiful country in those mountains!
The mountains are impressive
I used to live near Redding and walked across that bridge many times! Yes, it’s a bit unnerving! Yes, there are rattlesnakes! We saw them all the time.
Not a fan of snakes 😣😣😣

The glass dome would be neat in the winter time 😊
So true.
You'll be traveling through my sweet town of Medford soon, safe travels!!
And we had a nice stop by. Medford is a great place for a stop over. 😊😊😊
Teri is a true troupper
If I'm not mistaken you were in Blue Van Dan's old neck of the woods! Terri that bridge would of been a big NOPE for me too!!!
😁😁😁😁😁
Scott & Teri, you were in our neck of the woods. Had we known you were at the Sundial Bridge, we would of loved to have seen you both and Punkin. Our summers are very hot, clear into October. Ugh!!
Sorry we missed you'll I was amazed how hot it was there the other day. Have a awesome summer and stay safe.
Would not have been able to cross that bridge... Nope nope nope... LoL. You were very brave. Safe travels❤❤❤
Won't do it again.
For my windshield I use RainX windshield washer. It repels water and might help keep the tree rosin and bird fertilizer from sticking. 😁👍🍻
That's what I use most all the time just out now. I think it's some of the best
Susanville was a cool little town. I stopped by the fire department to get a permit to use my camp one stove. I'm with you Teri in walking over that bridge!! It would have been scary for me too!!! ❤😊
Yes it was!
Cool bridge❤
So enjoy walking over a pretty rivers. 👍👍👍
You guys have so much fun exploring. I have a good friend who lives in Redding. He’s always going fishing in the big lakes around here. Time for you to get out of the heat! 113 in Phoenix already. Take us somewhere cool!
I seen the heat there crazy and it's only June.

Great job u two ,love your channel.
Thanks so much! 🤗🤗🤗
I was holding my breath also.
That glass on that bridge would definitely freak me out too!!
It was a bit of a challenge 😊😊
I've been noticing when the sun is out lately, since the big solar storm is happening that the sun feels very intense. Wear a hat 🥳
👍👍 we will be in Wa land of no Sun. Just kidding 😁😁😁
Glad you made it out without having anyone come up the mountain in front of you making you have to
Backup out of their way
It worked out great just a bit worried at first.
Next time through Hwy 89 through Mccloud is much easier and a little quicker. Their is off grid camping along the way to Hwy 5 near Mt Shasta. I have off grid property in McCloud you would be welcome.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
They should replace some of the glass with clear glass, it would be awesome.
I think it was fairly clear years ago.
My Home, in Idaho for a few months. Old Station is one if my favorite places. When home I walk the bridge weekly.
Awesome 👍👍👍
We often stop in Redding on our travels between the Bay Area and Portland along with the Oregon coast to visit relatives....Bout 3 miles from the Sundial bridge here is a great little place to eat just off I-5 and part of the Best Western there called C.R. Gibbs ....Great grub....Not sure you could make it in there though with the 5th Wheel....Travel safe back to Washington and be well....
That must be a good. Place to eat because next people have mentioned that restaurant 👍👍👍
From all of the photos and videos I've seen of Lassen, Shasta Lake, and the Mountain..... it would be well worth putting on your list of future places to visit.

I think the butterflies were made out of fiberglass but not 100 percent sure. Teri is no fan of snakes at all. 😣😣😊😊😊😊
You are brave, Teri!👍 I wouldn't cross the bridge!😬
Teri was a trooper for sure 😊😊😊😁
I lived in Redding years ago. That place gets so hot you could fry an egg on the sidewalk. So many forest fires too
I didn't realize it would be that hot in June.
The older I got the worse it got. I had to walk backwards down the one lane Statue of Liberty spiral staircase.

When it is cold rattlesnakes should be dormant. They are very sluggish in cold weather. Take care
So happy about that

Buy guys great driving Scotty👍🤗👋😊
Thank you Thank you 😎😎😎😎
Can you take your big rig thru Lassen? I remember it having some pretty skinny windy roads....
It's not to bad just hang on tight.

It was really pretty there🤗
For sure.
Good evening from Western Australia 🇦🇺

Thank you so much I enjoy doing the comments. Have a awesome day
Good to know.😊😊
👍👍👍
I can't believe you did that bridge. Yikes.❤❤
Just a walk in the park 😁😁 for me Teri did it but probably never do it again.😁😁🤣🤣🤣😊😊
Good job Terri
Thank you 😊😊😊
Hi Teri and Scott
Hola and have a great day
A great video again❤
Thank you So much have a great weekend
Beautiful area. Love the pack you're carrying your dog in. What's the brand?
Outward hound. It seems to be working good. So far. 😊😊😊
For me it is the lines of the bridge. I get dizzy while walking if there are a lot of lines in the sidewalk, or in the buildings. I could not have walked that bridge, I would of fell down.
I was surprised how it hit Teri.
❤❤❤

A fan of no snakes. 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Have you ever thought of getting a 'satellite phone' in case you're stuck w/o any cell phone service etc? Esp on electric bikes.
I've never thought about a satellite phone.
Glass bridge, lol Jeff would have said no way
The bad part is when you go over. You must return that way. 😣😊😊
It seems the height that bothers you. Wasn't it in upper Michigan that you walked on that rickety bridge and kind of freaked out? I would too. 😟😟
I did get Teri a bit freaked out up there. Lesson is don't bounce on bridges. 😁😁😁
That bridge looked scary I do not like heights either when I was about 12 we were in Colorado and my Dad got the bright idea we were all going to walk across Royal Gorge bridge, well I crawled couldn’t stand up I was so scared. Didn’t care people were laughing at me.
I don't blame you that's one heck of a bridge
😊😊
Thank you for watching and commenting 😊😊🤗😊🤗
Terri l worked on the highways with the Government for 23 years l worked on some pretty high bridges and l have scared some of my friends taking them out on the bridges but now l have not been up on a lot of bridges nowadays l am starting to not like height now
Sounds like a fun job .
Did that bridge freak you out the first time you were there?
I don't think it did. It's been 20 years sense we were there.
It was hard for me to watch you walk across I know I couldn't do it . Be careful stay safe 😂
Not fun at all.
Yes I would have a panic attack for sure to go over that bridge🤦🏼
It was a bit nerve racking
I think people who make comments like "How ya gonna get it out of here?" are being aggressive. They might not think they are, but they are asserting their reality as the only truth, so instilling fear. There are other ways to express concern that do not include that.
Very good point.
I am with you. That is spooky 👻👻👻👻👻👻!
You got that right 😊
Hey from San Antonio. Safe travels
Hola San Antonio
If I met you on that road with my class C, you’d have to back up because I have a car on a tow dolly. I can’t back up with that on there. Well I guess I’d have to unhook the tow, dolly and turn the car around and pull the tow dolly with the car, lol there’s your comment
If we met on that road we have to do rock, paper, scissors 👍👍👍👍🤗🤗
Scott ain't skeered of no one lane dirt road , no sir !!!!
To the floor and hang on 😁
There is no way I could walk across that. I’m petrified bridges but then to have a glass thing to walk across. No thank you it does look beautiful though.
You can do it! 😊😊😊
Hey Scotty 💪🏻☮️👍✌️
