very nice explanation, Thanks question - Can I visit the nearest RTO office for the Hypothecation Removal? or should I go the same RTO office where it was registered?
Thank you! You should visit the same RTO where your vehicle is registered. For example, if your vehicle is registered in KA51, you need to go to the KA51 RTO. However, some RTOs in certain states are transitioning to fully online processes. As of now, in KA51, you still need to visit the RTO.
Thanks ma'am. Couple of questions if you don't mind - 1. Form 35 and NOC are provided as 2 different things by my bank....so I update the NOC or form 35 initial when doing online? 2. Is PUCC copy required when submitting it offline? How to get this copy? Do they check each and every document that needs to be there.
1) Scanning both Form 35 and the NOC into a single PDF file and uploading it during the online process should work. 2) Yes, a PUC copy is mandatory and will be required at the RTO office. The PUC (Pollution Under Control) certificate is your vehicle’s emission test report. Ideally, you should already have it. If not, you can get the test done at any nearby petrol bunk with an emission testing center.
I believe you mean loan closure when you say settlement. Hypothecation won’t be removed automatically. You will need to follow the steps outlined in this video to get it removed.
Thank you for watching our video. There are no extra fees apart from the online payment, but you may need to spend around ₹100 on stationery, such as a stamped cover for posting your new RC and a pouch for your old RC. These items are readily available at shops near the RTO. Simply ask for the stationery required for hypothecation removal, and they will provide the complete set within ₹100.
Very helpful

Link not working!
Yes, the link seems to be temporarily down today. However, the URL is correct, and we can expect it to be back online shortly.
The site is back online. You should be able to access it now.
You should use the date mentioned in the NOC. Please also note that the NOC is generally valid for only 3 months from the date of issue.
