awesome vid bud. I was just on the water yesterday thinking how I need to look up the offset on my Armie setup and BOOM this comes up in my feed the next morning. stoked, thanks!
Yep just a prototype for winging, think they may have moved on from this version. Armie says there is 1-1.5 deg in front foils, so tails are -1-1.5. I just used integers for the vid to simplify understanding of concepts 🤙🏻
This one is a can of worms. It all depends on where you are in the progression. From experience negative shimming and creating more lift and drag in the stabiliser helped pumping. Once you have effective technique you will want to increase efficiency, so you will return back to 0 deg then start negative shimming. It really does depend where you are on the timeline of progression.
Super clear explanation. Thanks
You're welcome!

Youre welcome Bud, Glad the vid was helpful.
Great. I am definitely interested in hearing your thoughts on how shimming affects mast placement in the tracks/front foot pressure.
Working on that video now!
Im waiting for this video aswell
Best video EVER made to explain shimming🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!!
Greatly appreciate this explanation and look forward to the next one.
You're welcome!
Mahalo. Good video.
Cheers Boss!
Well explained.
Cheers!
Great vid! Love it
Cheers!
New board around 0:18? Also, aren't the new tails -1.5 deg by default?

@@OllyBrunton Thanks mate!
Thanks for the video Ollie. How would you shim to optimize for pumping?

Thanks for the insight. How does the fuselage length affect the shimming? Will the shimming be more noticeable on shorter or longer fuses?
I'll be sure to include in my next video
or the one after 😅
