As a chronic fish drawer and life-long reef keeper, this makes me so happy to see. People always ask me why I don't like fishing in games like Stardew or ACNH, and it's simply because there's nothing compelling about it! I love fish for their unique personalities, behaviors and appearances, and so many games with fishing quests just take the entire soul out of it. I really look forward to seeing how this progresses.
Between your game's announcement, the recent boom of Webfishing, as well as other fishing games like Dredge, Fishing Planet and Dave the Diver, I feel like we're in the middle of a fishing game renaissance. Wasn't what I was expecting but I'm here for it! Now if only we could get someone to make a new arcade fishing game like Sega's Bass Fishing, we'd be set! Really can't wait to see a Steam listing so I can wishlist this game and show my support. Love this world and the work you're doing!
I love everything about this, the art style, world building, the choice of solar punk, the music and especially the little snipets of lore and extra info at the end. Really inspiring me to illustrate my own world 🙌 keep up the good videos!
Absolutely, yes. I strongly believe that the core ideas of Solarpunk are culture, community and nature; and I wanted to focus on that instead of boiling it down to just aesthetics.
@ I know, obviously, that you are an artist, but if you ever need or want another artist for anything, don't hesitate to contact me here or anywhere else you find my name!
Your own version of Solarpunk? Yes, I think I'm going to create my own version of Solarpunk. I live in a place where nature and civilization converge, but do not unite. A place where the four seasons of the year exist. I want to capture that. Because just as it is not always day, it is not always summer. Just because the Sun does not shine in a place, does not mean that it is dead or that it will not shine again, it means that it will return, and if the sun returns, so will the wind, the rain, the snow and the hail, because that is nature.
Yes, yes! This is why I like the idea of Miyazaki's work being considered solarpunk because of how genuine it is and how it depicts what are usually considered "ugly" parts of nature as just facts of life!

I really love the shape this world is taking, and is so interesting the idea of exploring it through a fishing game.
gotta represent those fishing games
Awesome stuff. So much “solar punk” stuff is super unoriginal Pinterest fodder so it’s awesome to see such a unique and genuine approach

A Compostela street sign? 👀👀👀
Learned recently that it comes from the Latin "campus stellae" or Field of Stars. What a beautiful name
