I loved this performance, great seeing Doc fit and well. The band were on song and sounded loud and proud

There is a performance of their song called "Face The Day" at the Studio 22 show. It is a killer song played so well by the lead guitarist. Check it out, Greg.

Great performance and reaction as usual. FYI I came across a collaboration of Doc Neeson and John Farnham yesterday!

The lead and rhythm guitarist are the originals with Doc but probably my favourite lineup. Rick (lead) & John (rhythm) Brewster are the second Australia brother guitarist lineup with Angus and Malcolm Young (AC/DC). The other artist are Brent Eccles (drums) and Jim Hilbun (Bass/saxophone).
The Angels made in roads into the US but record labels and management issues de-railed them.

Marseilles from the huge Narara gig is the best to watch. Doc at his best. In his prime.
"Live At Narara" will give you links.
Also "No Secrets" written by drummer Buzz Bidstrup.

There were 5 songs played in the TV studio performance. Some of the audio of the videos found on UA-cam aren't the best but the official clips are spot on.

Just a great song and super hook.
Good Rock (pub rock) was well and truly alive and well during this time with Midnight Oil, The Radiators, Rose Tattoo and plenty of others keeping the band rooms full. But the Queen of the scene had to be Chrissy Amphlett out the front of The Divinyls.
Start at the start with their debut single - 'Boys in Town' released in 1981 and peaking at 8.
They announced a unique new voice on the scene and she didn't disappoint.

I've experienced a full solar eclipse in PNG when i was young. I remember the dogs all howling and the birds all chirping as they put themselves to bed, only to wake themselves up with more chirping 15-20 minutes later. Your summary of the hair metal bands was the same for myself but urprisingly nowadays i've learnt to appreciate them but they've got nothing on the Aussie pub rock era. Thanks for the reaction Greg.

We can tell how much you enjoy our live music from Australia, especially Cold Chisel and this band, the Angels. Another great live rock band from Oz is AC/DC, or Acca Dacca, as we call them. That’s a whole another journey.

Did the birds go to sleep during the darkness of the eclipse?

It didn't quite get dark here in Norman. My little flowers did close up for the night.

Mainstays of the band were Doc Neeson, Rick and John Brewster, all founding member. Rick (lead guitar 🎸) is the only member of the band to never be out of it, still in the band to this day. John (his brother, with the hat) was out of the band for a few years in the 80s but is since back in the line up and an integral part of the whole thing.
    Current line up is
Rick and John Brewster and 2 of John's sons.
And Nick Norton on vocals (previously the drummer until recently)

You know that when John left it wasn't voluntarily. His own brother sacked him 😂😂😂
The brothers grim, love them or hate them, I'll go with the latter.😂
They hated fans forgetting they'd be nothing without them.
