Amazing Jeff! Love the lighted nock to show flight! The fact that you get that good of flight indicates you have a clean release. Your shot is quick but it seems to work!!!
Love bare shafting...some of my practice sessions are shooting bare shafts only....my best bare shaft setup ,to date, was using a 350 shaft with 400 up front...614 gn arrow...great groups out to 40 yards...tight groups at 25 yards even in a brisk wind....tail whipping yet, impact on the mark.
Hi, Jeff I contacted three rivers archery and asked about the traditional only 500 arrows having a slightly weaker side and they said yes! and may need minimal tuning. I told them I bend tested them. And found that to be true. They confirmed they are seamless. Really great arrows.
Hey,Jeff I’m considering purchasing some of the trad only arrows 500 with 250 up front to shoot out of my toelke pika 47@28 I was wondering would it matter if I straight fletch them or have a helical on the shooting a 3 blade vpa
Great arrows jeff. Will you do a video on fletching size. Gateway batwings are only 2 inches. Curious how it will affect arrow flight. Speed accuracy? Especially where it counts with broadheads. Thanks.
Hi, Jeff great video!! I have been using the traditional only 500 for two years great arrows! i was bend testing them with a bar clamp home made arrow tester and mark them. They do bend a little bit more on one side i have noticed. When i mark this side and shoot mark out they have turned great but if i turn the nock off of my mark they bare shaft a little weaker!!
I started shooting the Barebows paired with Ethics outserts last year and thoroughly love them. I have sets tuned to 3 different bows. And yes, you can hunt with white arrows.
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 and it's a lot harder to drop a glove out of a tree stand if you're wearing it vs a tab flipped around the back of the hand lol
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 The reason I asked the question is when I was shooting the bow I found I could shoot a lighter spined arrow shooting off the tips of my fingers than I could with a deep hook. I always thought it was due to a cleaner release?
Jeff Phillips, Hello sir, I loved this clip on the ICS seamless arrows. I have a 28" draw and shoot pretty straight, but I want the perfect "kill" shot every time (like your shots). I have a blackhunter 48# (which I love) and a Satori 54# which I struggle with. (I can shoot a few shots before my arm tires) I bought it second hand because they ordered a 45#, and could not pull 54#s. I plan to buy 40-45# limbs so that I can enjoy this bow also. My questions are 1) How long an arrow should I be shooting with? 2) what brand limbs due you recommend for my Sartori? 3) Should I stick with Sartori limbs? (They are pricey...) Your opinion would be welcomed and appreciated. God bless, Geo-
Yes sir, you will probably want around a 29-30” arrow (cut to cut) and there are several great limb options out there for a very good price that really perform like Ssnlida, Toparchery, Nika N3 and some others that are not expensive!
I strictly use a BearPaw Classic glove! They’re available from Stickbow Supplies and Lancaster Archery! Like $20👍🏻Make sure to order it smaller because they stretch quickly!
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 Jeff, my man...I went out and got some of those Easton arrows.....29in, 125 gn field tips...using that Sanlida Hermit x10...and my shots are much improved...my grouping is down to about a tennis ball size at 20 yards. I was mainly using Warrior arrows before, but you changed my game with these Easton arrow recommendation...just wanted to say thank you!
@@schiangsc I actually did some bare shafting yesterday with my Hermit 10 and unbelievably anything beyond a 125 grain point cut 28” took a 400 spine! Those carbon foam limbs put out way more energy than anything else I’ve tested!
Thanks for all the help Jeff! I was bare shaft tuning this evening and robin hooded a fletched arrow with the bare shaft at around 15 yards. They’re flying pretty good out of the Hermit!
For some reason you have to run fletchings with a broadhead to counter steer the arrow, even a perfect bare shaft will go crazy with a broadhead alone on it which actually steers it and it’s something that just doesn’t work lol
It's awesome! Do you use lighted nocks for hunting? If so, do you use them in the rain? Many people said that lighted nocks were unreliable, they said lighted nocks sometimes lighted up and sometimes didn't, and they also said lighted nocks introduced shooting errors. Do you think they work reliably? Thank you.

Mr. Phillips could I get your contact info so I may ask you questions about archery directly
Hello Jeff, I have one question for you. Do you bear Shafton with the lumenock on? or do you use the original not the comes with the arrow
Hello Jeff, I have one question for you. Do you bareshaft tune with the lumen knock or do you use the one that comes with the arrow?
I'd be curious if you could hunt with a big brodhead and no fletchings, with that set up?
What size I.D. Lumimock are you running in your TA 500 shafts?😊
@@dkveracity65able they take GT .246👍🏻

I agree. I wound up at 30.5", 280 grains, 42#@29" with this same 500 spine arrow. Bow cut 3/16" past center.
Another awesome video man my head's going to swell up and pop with all this information thanks for all that you do for us

Definitely go with some helical my brother!
Jeff, this was really amazing, I love this!!!
Wow, they don't even need fletchings. It don't get any better than that.
Wow! This is almost ridiculous..
Are you on vacation Jeff? Going over a week without a new video? Lol.. hope all is well.
Lol I actually am! Thanks brother and hopefully I’ll be able to finish up some this week 😁

Can you tell me why your prefer a glove over the tab? Is it just a preference or just better. New to this
It just feels much more natural to me.

Jeff the traditional only arrows you say are seamless are they the wood grain carbon 500s? can't tell in the video but they look black?
Yes sir wood grain Traditional Only from 3Rivers
Have you ever noticed once fletched the spine gets a bit more stiff than when bare shaft (due to increased weight and drag)?
Absolutely sometimes I weigh the feathers and add tape at the same weight. When I am lazy I tune till arrow is slightly weak before I fletch.
