I’ve seen so many covers of popular songs & we’ve seen them in movie trailers over the last X amount of years. Not a huge fan of the slowed down version of the song but his voice is an absolute powerhouse. There’s just no denying that & the performance was wonderful.
What I really like about Justin's version is how "honestly" he sings it, if that makes sense. I mean, the character singing is obviously very timid, lacking self-confidence, so when he speaks to that other person in the song (the one that looks like an angel), he speaks in a soft, timid voice. But once the song turns to the person speaking to themselves (watching the angelic person running out), their "emotion" voice comes out, and that emotion is strong and pure, and so is his voice. And Justin became that person, for a moment. Beautiful. If that makes any sense.
Brian and Matt Boyd do a cover of Celine Dion & Barbra Streisand's "Tell Him". All respect to the ladies' beautiful rendition, it's Brian & Matt's that makes me cry. Every time.
If you want uplifting, insane and creative, another one to check out is KZ Tandingan's version of Rolling in the Deep (Singer 2018 version). She flips that song on it's a**. And another singer to check out is Tommy Johansson. He uploads a new song almost every Friday on his channel and covers everything from Disney to ABBA to Celine to metal. Right now his most popular song is She's Gone (Steelheart) but there are many to choose from. Phenomenal voice. BJC does a number of other covers as well, all good.
Oh no, his back story is not in this, it ADDS to the emotion of this performance!!!! Basically him being bullied for being gay and he used this song to let out his pain.
I actually enjoy this version of the song much more than the original. Great reaction! If you want to hear someone who can take a song and make it dark and intense, check out Chase Holfelder's covers where he changes songs from major keys to minor keys. I particularly like his version of Every Breath You Take.
If you want uplifting and inspirational… you should check out Pentatonix. If you already know who they are, then, never mind. If you don’t know who they are. Over 20 million subscribers. Over 6 billion views. Five Grammy nominations and three wins. And a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Oh, and they’re an a cappella group. Excuse me, they are THE a cappella group. A good place to start is HALLELUJAH. But like I said, if you’ve already heard of them then, never mind. 🤗💋🥰

Hi If you had started the video as minute before you would hear why he chose that song. Very sad that children can be so cruel.
Nope. You talked over it. You stopped the video at the most in opportune moments.
Have you seen his story? You might have a different perspective of what the song meant to him.

Sad to say that he finished in fourth place!!!
Aghhh ... you ruined it with the interruption in the most important part.
We thank you for watching nonetheless :)

Pause in the middle of a long held note, the most climactic part of a song - instant dislike - wtf, lol
