This is great man you, defiantly got yours close.... Not really sure why mine doesn't sound like it though, Specifically the filter portion. Anyway to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.
for anyone maybe struggling on the filter part I found to the filter envelope % up, it may not be picking up the envelope you want for the filter effect!
Hey so this may seem like a basic question, but I'm running off a different DAW than Ableton... What's the second harmonic? So is that the coarse tuning on -12 semiones or 0 on a second sine wave?
sorry I wasn't very clear, the second oscillator is actually set to the third harmonic (i.e +2 semitones). It's just different terminology but first harmonic = root note, second = +1 octave etc. I'm gonna re do this video anyway yo clear things up :)
Struggled with this for a while man, there's a little control for the filter envelope next to sustain called envelope. Make sure that's turned up to 100%, mine was on 0% so wasn't applying to the filter
i think they got 909's and run it through a mackie mix desk.. like what the old gabba heads used to do.... thats why in tunes like dizzee rascal i luv u they got gabba kicks and used them in grime... are you on facebook bro??? i also sampled the dread d bass from a tune where there was no drums just the kick ...whats ur facebook name?
Nice sound but shit tutorial mate, from the get go your 'simple sine wave' sounds completely different to a simple sine wave. Seen your update in the description but no help because you haven't told us how to make Synth B modulate Synth A?
That's great can you do rude kid bass or k1 ?

Great tutorial! I suggest you use a screen recorder though (like quicktime -> file -> new screen recording), it would make it even better.

Mate this is sick thanks, do you think you could send me a one shot sample of the bass? Preferably played in C? xx
+theBsideArchive I didn't save the project but I mean the video does tell you how to make it!
Modles K I appreciate that man, thanks for the video but I don't use ableton. I will try to recreate it in logic though.
Thank you.)
