    Did way more work than you needed to. The panels around the e-brake and shifter do not need to be removed

    Thanks for this video. It set me on my way. However l found it wasn't necessary to remove anything other then the panel under steering wheel and glovebox after which u can carefully wiggle out panel under climate control panel. After removing bulbs there's a hole on brace u can insert fixture in and squeeze down on to remove and reinstall new bulbs which helps cuz wires are short. I was able to reinsert far side bulb by hand and positioned and push in the other with a screwdriver

    I jus did this on my hatch and its easy, coming from somone who loses patience fast and starts breaking shit lol, jus needa be patient and get some long and short pliers like the ones in the video, bulb jus pulls out dont need to press anything and pull the bulb out and replace it then push it back thru till it clips in, you can feel it out by rotating it a bit till it pushes through a little, not hard at all, i bought the same 2721 Sylvania bulbs and it gives it this orangish yellowish light color, perfect for an old school 90s honda look🤟🏻 nice video

    Did you install that aftermarket cruise control switch? Do you have more information on it? I have a quick release steering wheel which involuntarily deletes the cruise on the wheel and I want it for my long trips. Thanks and great vid

      Thanks, Dylan. Believe it or not, my brother installed that cruise control for me about a month after I got it in 1996. So I have nothing useful I can tell you about it at this point. But it still works!

    I replaced these bulbs years ago but I do NOT remember having to take the entire dash apart like this.. Especially the center console ones

    @Mbnewman087 9 місяців тому

    Just took a saw to my center console area to put the wrong shift linkage in. It ended up being more comfortable somehow. 😅😂

      How did you flip the control panel? Thanks

      This guy is lying about just flipping out the HVAC panel. There’s 4 screws at the bottom of the panel that needs to be unscrewed, and those are hidden behind the bottom dash cover

      I used Sylvania 2721 bulbs. There's a link in the Description field for the ones I used.

    Totally not the same on 2000 EX.
    Anyone knows the bulb part number for that? Their are two bulbs on HVAC.

      @@FixEverythingYourself Your video is amazing! Keep it Up! My 97 Civic climate lights are not working.. This looks like a lengthy work?

    • @FixEverythingYourself
      @FixEverythingYourself  4 роки тому

      Thanks, Sainted! No, it's really not that difficult. Taking the interior panels off is the hardest part but even that isn't bad. The video shows how to do it and you'll probably find it's easier than you expect. I think someone who hasn't done it before could do the entire job in 1-2 hours max. There's no one step that's particularly challenging. Good luck! I was glad to have my lights work again, especially at night!

    I just replaced mine with LED ones. And I still don’t have any lights. I supposed this might be an wiring issues.

    • @FixEverythingYourself
      @FixEverythingYourself  4 роки тому

      Or maybe a blown fuse. You've probably checked that but, if not, I'd check that next.

    • @HungLoo
      @HungLoo 4 роки тому

      @@FixEverythingYourself Nope! It wasn't the fuse. It turns out it was the dimmer switch all along. All i had to do was to plug the dimmer switch back up and VOILA, i have lights now :D

    • @Echozzero
      @Echozzero 3 роки тому +3

      Led types have polarities, you may have plugged it on the wrong side, remove it, switch it up and plug it again and test. Polarities means that positive must meet positive and negative must be on negative.
