- We all knew it was coming, but here it is, the new 992 generation 911 GT3 RS. It’s packed with racing tech, and probably some actual magic to make the most hardcore, exciting 911 to date. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat six producing 518bhp. Porsche says it’ll hit 184mph flat out, with 0-62mph taking just 3.2 seconds. Being an RS, it’s not going to be chunky - thanks to lightweight materials like Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic, it weighs just 1,450kgs with fluids. It’s all very impressive, but if you’re going to learn all there is to know about a new Porsche GT car there’s only one man you need to talk to, and that's Andreas Preuninger.

I can listen to Andrea’s Preuninger for ever. Thank God he is the head of the GT department of Porsche
Oh,yeah ,he's clearly full of BS :this cut here, that vent there..
These cars are getting in the wrong f☆☆ing hands of greedy sellers
Not the right way
Him and Chris Harris
Me also but it pains my heart to watch him leaning on the car..it is akin to sacrilege…
This car ends up in the crusher, it don’t matter
@@georgepotcovaru913 listen why dont you make a sports car buddy? seems like like you have a lot of knowledge huh?
i love the No Vent sign, i can really appreciate a company that has this much thought into the design of a car.
So THAT'S what makes you think they put a lot of thought into the car? LMAO
@@derbigpr500 its hard to read huh🤦♂️ i just said i love the detail.
@@derbigpr500 Pretty stupid comment, no other mass production auto manufacture would even think to incorporate such a design element
That's porsche's & Andreas' sense of humour showing, make a cool little detail for enthusiasts to appreciate. Well done Porsche you've done it again 👏🏻👏🏻
I would imagine Andreas just sneaks in into the junior engineer's computer and personally re-do the original fake vent CAD into what it is now 😂
You have to respect Andreas for the quality he always delivers, the knowledge he has about the product and the clients should be an exemplar of every CEO and product manager. Well done Andreas, and thank you for making Porsche better for every generation.
It seems Porsche has got the edge over other manufacturers by far. These technical innovations simply puts everything else in shame😎
McLaren are leagues ahead in all of these areas. Mclarens have had DRS systems since the MP4-12c, carbon chassis and massive aero. All mclarens are faster too.
If you think this heavy joke that lacks CF where its needed beats the competition, then you dont know much about the competition.
@@mzivtins omg fanboy alert 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@faz_s 0-60 in 3.2 second is awful no matter what you try and cry on youtube comments
@@mzivtins sorry, but McLaren is not near the technical capabilities of Porsche. Porsche is probably the most advanced sports car manufacturer in the world since McLaren and other brands do not have the revenue to compete with them, but they also have slightly different groups of customers...
@@mzivtins cool beans. My porsche has always made it to the service centre without breaking down. Can you say the same about Mclaren?
Please let Chris Harris test and review it.
100%

no, bring clarkson back for the review. He will complain about everything that has a Porsche badge XD
I love how the red accent decals and wheels are a reference to the original 996 GT3 RS, and the A Series Carrera RS.
This does also make me wonder... if this is the GT3 RS, how crazy is the GT2 RS going to be?
Yeah but they were still good looking cars, this thing is ruined.
@@crimsonpirate1710 Wtf 🤣
Really? 🧐
@@crimsonpirate1710 what are you on
I wouldn't hold your breath as this didn't even get a power bump over the previous RS.
Truly unbelievable what they’ve done, this is a masterpiece and implementing DRS into a road car made for the track is such a genius idea. Porsche is running on all cylinders!
Mclaren P1 : hey I've done that since the dawn of DRS in f1, what took you guys so long lol 😂

@@ardijanuar2036 And how "many" McLaren P1's will you see on a race track, you annoying smart ass??
Listen, dude: these handful of McLaren million dollar vehicles, which won't be properly used on racetracks at all don't count!
You just can't compare these few hyperexpensive McLaren garage queen car collector vehicles with Porsche 911 GT3 products like this new 992 GT3 RS.
85% of GT RS customers take their cars to the racetrack. This says it all, dude! Porsche is the absolute race track king. McLaren can't keep up with Porsche. McLaren doesn't have the experience of a 19 times overall, plus 110 class victories Le Mans 24 hours race champion. F1 doesn't count at all.
Porsche is the king of race track driving with such GT3 like vehicles. McLaren is just a small garage carmaker compared to Porsche. Period!

I’ve waited long enough for this car. Absolutely perfect as always 😍
I like how the focus is on everything other than just more power. I commend the Huracan STO for taking the same approach. I love it when a car can best another car with 200-300 more horsepower because it was just designed smarter.
@doire aintu It would have to beat the Manthey Racing Spec. I'll bet that it can't!
The aero work on this is F1 worthy. The "No vent" text on the rear is just magic!
Ehy does everyone always talk about f1 in other motorsports can I just get away from fq
why is there "no vent" text?
@@WilliamMoscato-jw4hx It has a DRS is just one thing? Even the Porsche boss in the video mentioned they where giving a nod to F1. Why is it so odd? just use the gt3 rs body and put a slightly better version of the engine of the old 991 gt2 rs in there, done.
Andreas is the best. I love that his focus is on the feel, the sensations, the emotion and it's not just clinical decisions to make a fast car.
What an absolute dream. Couldn't imagine driving this let alone owning one. Instant buy if I could! Every inch of this is made with passion. What an incredible car. Some lucky people out there who get one of these
Couldn’t agree more. Porsche has mastered their craft. 😮💨

@@aminenasri6001 I mean thats kinda bullshit, if you go to a race track, well driven expensive cars are pretty common. Im much more likely to see a gt3rs on Bilster Berg than in a city.
And the Porsche price for a 911 GT3RS is super digestable compared to actual hypercars, and if you want to just flex a huracan is cheaper and gets more attention.
@@aminenasri6001 And to makes us dream is what these cars are made for. Rich or poor, dreaming is still free! Thou the rulers want to take this ability from us, dreamers... After seen this video and this car for the first time, i know: tonight i will dream!!

You can tell how much passion Andreas have for cars by the way he talks and explains about his baby. And how he says that “we’ll have to wait and see” if we are close to the end of ICEs, downing his head and saddening when insisted a little bit more. Excellent review guys, the car really deserves it. It's the pinacol for the GT3 RS and what a way to say goodbye, a true masterpiece 👌
What a car, what a technology from Racing to the Road 🤩
Looks perfect in every aspect.
Beautiful car, loving the aero and not an obsession on power one up man ship!
And love the guys passion!.
Rumor has it that with a turbo kit it will generate enough speed and power that the vehicle can be driven completely upside down in tunnels at 220mph with more down force from that massive wing than it weighs.
guess someone will have to try it on a 992 GT2RS when it comes out
Not a patch on Viper ACR, is it?
What I love about this car: look at the expression on Herr Preuninger’s face when discussing how much they put into this car. You see the love and passion of the engineering and craftsmanship! Oh that all products has the same passion put into them. It’s why I love fine furniture and luxury watches. It is just as much art as it is utility.
Well done, Porsche!
Bad ass move when your leader calls his engine bullet proof. My favorite part of the interview.
When you don’t need massive power to lap the competition.
The so called “after market” products for this GT3RS will be damn indeed…This is THE car for every man’s wet dream to pretend to be a race car driver any time he/she gets in the driver seat !!! It’s just way too much of good things and I love it !!! ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
That is a 4L Straight 6, high revving masterpiece. What a sound, and movable aero and the easily adjustable tech to the average user is just next level. What a car

At this point, the "regular" 911 car is so good and so refined who the hell needs this besides an amateur race team? It felt like the 997 gt3rs made sense but with a 992 turbo s being absolutely insane... why would you need this>? of course, if I had the money I would say, me... I need this.
Turbo S is a different car with different goals though.

If everyone stood up for combustion engines and stopped peddling the "electric is the future" stuff, they would never die. Its the masses who can actually truely manifest reality
Curious seeing the brake callipers being angled further down to lower the centre of gravity, although the Aston Martin Valkyrie has gone one step further and put the callipers horizontal at the bottom of the brake discs!
i wonder if there'z a downzide to doing that? if not, why wouldn't more manufacturerz do it?

Keep your Aston Martin Valkyrie thing for yourself dude!
As far as i know putting the Calipers completely horizontal makes bleeding the brakes much more difficult, because the air can be trapped in the high part of the caliper that isn't connectet to the brake line. I think i saw that in some Video about F1 brakes
In other words, Porsche has just perfected perfection ! They truly are wizards ( Frank Preuninger and his team). Dream stuff come true. Please, never stop !

I love everything about the new 992 GT3RS ... aside from the height and width of the rear wing ... but dig the active-aero (DRS for the streets😍). I would just feel a tad self-conscious on the road with that wing.
