This was sooo needed. I've been living alone in a foreign country for the last few years and I have no one to really go to anymore. I kept calling my parents and feeling frustrated with those around me because it felt as if no one really knew me nor cared to. As a school teacher, I really felt like our Savior when he fed the 5000/4000. I have kids climbing all over me throughout the day and after work, I kept feeling the urge to isolate and just sit down and sift through what's going on in my life, talk to the Lord about it all, or think on a scripture I was currently in instead of going out for a meal with my friends or calling my family- I felt selfish for wanting that. But I'm so depleted, I NEED so badly time with our Father in that secret place. Thank you so much for this. I've been struggling this week over this topic.

@@stevesynth I empathize. I was verbally abused by text and treated horribly in person by diehard Glasgow RCs (close family members!) when I was born again after an encounter with the Lord.
A 180 transformation of the Damascus type (2 Corinthians 5:17) where I discovered true joy and peace, had the affliction of depression completely healed (still healed, praise God) but all they could think of was that I wasn't part of their tribe anymore 🤦🏻‍♀️
And I hadn't even mentioned one criticism of the RCC even though I could write a book on its unBiblical practices now.
Oh well, it does say in Philippians and 1st Peter that we will share in the sufferings of Christ and that it's a privilege in every way 🙏

A *calvinist* approaching a person to preach *his* “gospel”:
"Hi! I have good news for you! I don't know if God loves you, the most probable thing is that He hates you.
I also don't know if He died for you in the cross, only a very few were chosen… But Listen!"
Sad but true! This is the false gospel that is being preached in many churches.
We need urgently to bring back the *powerful, simple* and *true gospel* summarized in *John 3:16.*
If God says that he died for everyone, *it means that He died for everyone:*
    *Isaiah 53:6* ; *John 1:29* ; *John 3:16,17* ; *John 4:42* ; *2 Corinthians 5:14,15* ; *Romans 5:18* ;
    *1 Timothy 2:6* ; *1 Timothy 4:10,11* ; *1 John 2:2* ; *John 12:47* ; *1 John 4:14* ; *Hebrews 2:9* …etc
Let's be very careful, let's not be found liars.

You were right until you said "God died". That's not what it says in John 3:16!!
      And God cannot die.
God's going to hold everybody accountable for not believing that He SENT His SON.
Read Peter's declaration in Matthew 16 and echo it.
      Simple.
‭"When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying
"Who do men say that I, the son of man, am?" And they said: "Some say that you are John the Baptist: some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets".
      He asked them:
*But who do you say that I am*
And Simon Peter answered and said:
*You are the Christ, the Son of the living God*
And Jesus answered and said unto him: *Blessed are you* Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father who is in heaven"
      (Matthew 16:13-17)

Show me one Calvinist who runs around evangelizing to people like that. Just one, please.
No, we preach that God has commanded "all people everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:30); we don't preach "accept Jesus as Savior and make Him your Lord" because the apostles didn't do that. God makes Himself your Lord through the working of the Holy Spirit upon the hearing of the simple gospel.
Also, George Whitfield was a Calvinist and he did that whole Great Awakening thing.
Now why did you come here of all places to talk about Calvinism? This video is about prayer. If you are so caught up in anti-Calvinist apologetics, maybe you've forgotten what you are pro for and what Christ has actually called you to do.

    • @elsamusoy

This is the question that Calvinists don’t like to answer, because it exposes them.
They hear that they have been chosen, and a smile appears on their faces.
It’s evident that God doesn’t save by lot. The idea is just ridiculous.
And it's also obvious that God would not send people who are better than them to hell.
Therefore there is only one logical option left, and their corrupt heart knows it.
But they forget that God is no respecter of persons, that He has no favorites (Romans 2:11).
God didn't choose you because he saw something special in you.
You are not worth more than anyone.
The only reason He did it’s because He knew your response to His call. (Romans 8:29).
"...Many are called, but few *chosen.* "
      (Matthew 20:16)
“ *For the heart is wicked and deceitful above all things.* ”
      (Jeremiah 17:9).
