I agree. Jacket is awesome😍, but I don't trust glue on fabric. Over time it can come loose. Definitely better to use the glue as a way to tack it down and then sew around the edges to hold it better. ❤

Great insperation.I got teal colored jacket on the table and wanted to sew a vintage cross sticht piece to it ,but after seeing this I think I will glue it.

I was going up cycle and make everything that I wear. Last year was a total success. So my sister and my daughter jumped on the up cycling bandwagon. We are all having a great time. Hi Gina, just found your channel. Subscribed! I love this upcycle, just curious if you ever have a problem with the fabric glue seeping through one layer of the garment to the next layer… Also, when you launder it, how does the glue hold up? Thanks!
Hi J. Tobey @MyMiaArabella I’ve never had the glue seep through on any heavy fabrics like the jean jacket. When I use lighter fabrics, for example when I did flannel shirts I always put either a piece of cardboard or wax paper between them. As for washing the garments, I have a trick I always use. I place the garment in a pillow case and tie the end in a knot or I use one that zippers closed and I wash it on cold gentle cycle. It’s works great and I’ve never had a problem. Hi Claire, @clairereilly2778 Using Fabri-tac glue is so much easier but it does make the garment a little stiffer and heavier. It washes wonderfully. I am a BIG fan of this particular glue. I do sew as well but I know a lot of people do not sew and want these types of fun one of kind pieces of clothing so I have been making NO-SEW tutorials.
