- Protesters were seen wreaking havoc on the streets of Paris following the conservative National Rally party's first-round victory.
The activists took to the streets to vent their anger over the party’s first-round victory by destroying public property on Sunday.
At the Place de la République in Paris, thousands of left-wing voters and protesters gathered to protest the National Rally’s win.
The voters gathered in support of the New Popular Front, an alliance between French Socialists, Communists, Greens and France Unbowed party.
The New Popular Front came second to the conservative party in France's first round of the snap election.
According to early estimates, the National Rally (RN) won the first round of the snap election by 33 per cent.
The RN hold a monumental lead over the other centrist and left-wing candidates, according to the BBC.
