Lamella Separator

We were asked to design a project centered around our chemical engineering class, Particle Technology. We believe that the design of the Lamella separator incorporates many topics we have discussed in the class, as well as several engineering applications. We hope you enjoy our video because we had fun making it.

Would it be possible to make a DIY lamella clarifier using an IBC tote and many sections PVC pipe? That would give you a 1m3 tank. If so, what diameter of PVC pipes would you recommend for the 60 degree slopes?
